Grafton Rifle Club Grafton Rifle club is involved in the sport of target shooting

We are a target rifle shooting club situated on Trenayr road just on the outskirts of Grafton NSW.We hold regular shooting events every Saturday with field or rimfire class being held in the mornings and fullbore/target rifle in the afternoon. the club also holds regular shoots in-between the main events such as mixed benchrest and a .22lr f,class event.We also cater for those needing to sight in

new rifles or to check the zero and the first and third sat of the month are best suited to this but other can accommodate on the other days time permitting. We have three ranges-2x100m ranges where we hold our rimfire and benchrest events and our main range caters for both field class and fullbore/target shooting out to 900 yards.we are affiliated with the NSW Rifle Association and all our events are run according to nswra rules and regulations.We are a great family based club and pride ourselves on this with a great number of juniors and families as members.Shooting is done from 30,60 and 90 metres for rimfire,100,200 and 300 yards for fieldclass and 300 to 900yards for fullbore/target rifle.The first and third weekends are devoted to field class whilst the second and fourth are reserved for rimfire shooting and fullbore/target rifle shoots every Saturday afternoon.Our range is open from 8.00am on Saturdays with sign on commencing from 8.30 with shooting starting at 9.00am.Visitors are welcome to come and have a go with either their own rifles or we can organise a loan one for them.For more detailed info please don't hesitate to message or contact us .We are also available for fi****ms licence testing.

30/5/2026..A good turnout this week 13 shooters who sent some lead down range from 600yard mound. Shooters experienced a cool afternoon with showers of rain with dull light, and strong winds with running mirage.

Eight Possible’s were shot on the day, Peter Brown shooting 4, Matt Mcpherson shooting 2, Shane Budd and Bill Holroyd each shooting 1 each.

Top off the rifle in Target Rifle was Peter Brown, shooting 100 with 9 centers.

In F Class STD John Morrison took top of the rifle shooting 103 with 1 super center

In F Class Open Peter Drayton took top of the rifle shooting 113 with 4 super centers

In Sporter PC Matt Mcpherson took top off the rifle shooting 100 with 15 centers.

Well fear not as Grafton Rifle Club would like to welcome anyone thinking about taking shooting as a sport. For any enquiries you can contact the Grafton Rifle Club page or simply make your way to the range on any Saturday. The range is located at 434 Trenayr Road, opposite the Koppers Log Mill and adjacent to the Experiment Farm.

A good turnout this week 15 shooters who sent some lead down range from 500yard mound. Shooters experienced a cool afternoon with showers of rain with dull light, and strong winds with running mirage.

Eleven Possible’s were shot on the day, Nick Abrahall, Adam Barrett, Peter Brown, Andy Brown shot 2, and Stephan Small, Matt Mcpherson, and Andrew Katternhorn each shooting 1 each.

Top off the rifle in Target rifle was Peter Brown, shooting 98 with 11 centers.

In F Class Open Dennis Hilton took top of the rifle shooting 111 with 3 super centers

In Sporter PC Peter Brown took top off the rifle shooting 100 with 14 centers.

In Sporter PCO Andrew Katternhorn took top off the rifle shooting 99 with 11 centers.
