Tomorrow night marks the official handover of a new 38kW solar system and 240kWh battery backup system for the Hurstbridge Pavilion to the Hurstbridge Cricket Club and Hurstbridge Football Netball Club. Come down if you can for the Sausage Sizzle and Bar!

We’re incredibly excited to see this landmark clean energy project come to life and begin powering our clubs into the future.

A massive thank you to the team at Nillumbik Council and the Victorian State Government for their support and hard work in making this happen!

Our junior winter training sessions are booked and ready to go starting Monday!!

Calling all U11s, U13s & U15s players — plus any friends who want to come along and give cricket a go!

A great chance to build skills, stay active over winter, have some fun and get ready for the upcoming season. New and returning players are all welcome!

WELCOME TO HURSTBRIDGE – ABHINAV ‘ABHI’ BHATIA

The Hurstbridge Cricket Club is excited to announce the appointment of Abhinav Bhatia as our new Playing Senior Men’s Coach for the 2026/27 season.

Abhinav joins the club with a wealth of experience across some of Melbourne’s strongest competitions, including the DDCA, BHRDCA, NMCA, SECA and most recently with Dennis Cricket Club in the DVCA.

A proven top-order batsman, Abhinav has compiled more than 4,600 career runs across 159 innings, including 35 half-centuries and 3 centuries.

Off the field, Abhinav brings an impressive coaching resume, highlighted by:
• Leading Coomoora CC (Turf 3) to their first finals appearance in five years
• Premiership success with Parkmore Pirates (Turf 2)
• A VSCA Grade 1 Premiership

Abhinav brings strong leadership, technical knowledge and a genuine passion for developing players and building club culture. We’re excited to welcome him to Hurstbridge and look forward to what’s ahead for the playing group both on and off the field.

📣 AGM Reminder – Hurstbridge Cricket Club

Just a reminder that our Annual General Meeting is on this Wednesday 29th April, 7:00pm at the club.

All members, players, parents and supporters are encouraged to attend. The AGM is an important part of the club calendar where we will review the past season, discuss plans for the year ahead, and elect committee positions.

This is your chance to have a say in how the club is run and help shape its future. New faces are always welcome, and we encourage anyone interested in getting involved to come along.

Hurstbridge Cricket Club is now seeking Expressions of Interest for the role of Senior Men’s Head Coach for the 2026/27 season.

This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a proud, community-driven club with a strong on-field foundation and an even brighter future ahead.

Our senior program is built around a committed and experienced core group of players complemented by an exceptional wave of emerging talent. With a large number of players under the age of 22 already contributing at senior level, the club is perfectly positioned for sustained long-term success.

In season 2025/26, the club fielded four senior men’s teams, with three progressing to finals, highlighting both the strength and depth across the program.

Hurstbridge is more than just a cricket club, it’s a connected, supportive environment where coaches are empowered to make a genuine impact. You’ll have the opportunity to shape the next generation of players while building on a competitive and united senior group.

It was a tough way to finish, but plenty to be proud of 💙🤍

All three senior sides bowed out in the semi finals, bringing our season to a close. While it’s not the result we were chasing, to have our 1st, 2nd and 3rd XI all playing finals cricket is a huge effort and a reflection of the depth, commitment and spirit across the whole club.

These results sit alongside our fantastic women’s team and a group of exciting junior sides coming through. That connection across all levels is what makes our club great.

A massive thank you to everyone who played, coached, supported, volunteered and got around the club all season. We go again 💪

Finals losses are never fun, but often individual performances stand our regardless of the match result. Dangerous Dave put on a clinic with the ball taking 6 for 54 in his 14 overs to keep us in the game in the first innings. A fantastic spell of bowling and couldn't be happier having you around this season Dave McMullen
