The classic Black Palm and Hairy Oak combo never fails to please. ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Š

Well Iโ€™m supposed to be still doing building work but my offsider is injured so Iโ€™m getting a start on the next bow. Kicking off with another Black Palm riser core. This one is Foxtail Palm which has a larger more couse grain but also has more contrast going on.

SOUND ON.
So this is how you drop your brand new Flatline bow ๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚.
This is my mateโ€™s better half about 6 arrows in after receiving her bow.
It was several years ago and of course the bow is still going strong. It didnโ€™t even get a scratch from bouncing across the concrete.
And people spin out when I drop them on the lawn ๐Ÿ˜œ.

Here it is. Though I canโ€™t shoot it properly because it is designed for a much shorter draw length than my outrageous 32โ€s and it is 9 pounds too heavy for me. So Iโ€™m not particularly accurate with it but it sure spits them out.
And just for interest sake, the palm in the background is an Australian Black Palm, (Normanbya normanbia) one of several I planted in my yard from seed gathered from a harvested palm about 14 years ago.

Finally managed to get this Elite collection Shrike finished ๐Ÿ˜ƒ.
I gotta admit Iโ€™m a little proud of it. It turned out exactly as I envisioned it, maybe even better ๐Ÿ˜Š.

Itโ€™s for a good friend of mine so I have added a little of my soul and a lot of our beautiful countryโ€™s soul to it ๐Ÿ‡ฆ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿฆ˜.

We have named it โ€˜The Protectorโ€™ which is a reference to the animals pictured in the artwork, just some of the native animals the bow is intended to protect by reducing the number of feral animals we have in Australia.
For those who donโ€™t know, we are not allowed to hunt any native wildlife in Australia, (except dingos for some reason ๐Ÿ™„ ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿฝโ€โ™‚๏ธ). We can only hunt feral animals.

BOW STATS :
Flatline Elite collection takedown Shrike.
54โ€ nock-nock.
54 #@28โ€.

WOODS:

Riser;
Australian Black Palm and Rose Sheoak with a Black Palm feature strip and framed Miva Mahogany, Yellowwood, Silver Ash and Australian Ebony mosaics.

Artwork;
Dead Finish, Conkerberry and Ebony.

Limbs;
Black Palm and Rose Sheoak.

Went fishing yesterday, had a great day and even got a few fish that the sharks gratuitously let us have ๐Ÿ™„.
The sky treated us to this incredible sunset on the way home. No filters, it was just like that, only way better ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜.

Itโ€™s not all bows ๐Ÿ˜‰.
My son and I head up the hill most days for an hour or two to ride and work on our mountain bike trail. And we are getting a little help with it now because some young fellas discovered it and asked if they could help build it ๐Ÿ˜ƒ. Itโ€™s a โ€˜build it and they will comeโ€™ situation ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ. The young guys are very keen and we are making good progress now.
The ridge we working our way up now has a lot of Rose Sheoak trees on it and we may have to cut down the occasional one, but they wonโ€™t be wasted ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜.

I think these will blend very nicely with the riser ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ˜Š.

Anyone notice that the guy getting this bow is a SUBSCRIBER, hint hint ๐Ÿ˜œ.
