In 2007 a group of local residents, businesses and sports people developed a plan to open a sailing facility using an old council owned sailing club building which needed refurbishment. A core committee of three loaned th

eir own funds and applied to Gold Coast City Council to lease the facility as the Paradise Point Sailing Club Inc. Given the major turnaround that the PPSC has achieved the council has awarded it with a 15 year lease. The committee believe that this facility would promote a healthy and active lifestyle by enabling families and interested groups to participate at an affordable cost. Also that it provided an important local amenity that is accessible to the public interested in sailing and marine safety. The new club opened in October 2008. It would continue to operate as a sail training facility to introduce children and families to experience, learn and compete in the sport of sailing. Company Overview
Paradise Point Sailing Club Inc. is a not for profit organisation whose main goals upon its inception in 2008 was to instigate a program of active participation in sailing for children and families. Its focus is the provision of amenities to promote the sport of sailing by conducting year-round junior and senior education and development. PPSC also operates a public accessible boat licensing and marine safety training facilities. The club operates from leased premises on the Paradise Point Esplanade adjacent the Ephraim Island bridge. The waters in the Broadwater adjacent Paradise Point are shallow protected waters ideal for dingy and skiff sailing. Marine safety designates our area as “smooth to partially smooth”, which offers the PPSC community the opportunity to host state or national events. General Information
We are a small club of sailing enthusiasts of all ages. All classes sail here. New members ages 6 to 106* of all sailing skill levels are welcome to join us. Gold Coast Broadwater just off Paradise Point Esplanade is our playground.

Calling all Junior and Youth sailors! Are you ready to take on the stunning waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater? 🌊

Paradise Point Sailing Club is thrilled to host the Mid Winter Cup Regatta this June. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a Green Fleet sailor looking for your first big event, this is the perfect place to test your skills in a friendly, competitive environment.

We are beyond excited to announce that our new Optimist training fleet is officially ready for the water!

Weather permitting, we’ll be spending next weekend rigging them up and taking them out for their maiden voyages. It’s going to be an awesome sight to see the new fleet lined up and ready for action!

Looking to get the kids into a new adventure? Our Junior "Learn to Sail" classes are the perfect way to start.

⛵ New Fleet Alert: Optimists Have Arrived! ⛵

We are thrilled to announce that Paradise Point Sailing Club has expanded! To sit alongside our popular O’pen BICs and RS Terras, we now have a fleet of Optimist boats ready for our junior sailors.

The "Opti" is the world’s most popular starter boat, perfect for kids to learn the ropes, build confidence, and find their sea legs in a safe, stable environment.

🌊 Join Our Junior Classes
Looking for a way to get the kids off the screens and into the fresh air? Our Sunday morning sessions are all about fun, friendship, and learning a skill for life.
• When: Every Sunday morning
• Time: 08:30 AM (2 hours of fun!)

Just a friendly reminder that our April School Holiday Sailing Camp is right around the corner! On the 13th and 14th of April, we’ll be out on the water for two days of learning, laughter, and sunshine.

We love seeing the kids build confidence and friendships through sailing, but spots are filling up very quickly this time around!

Thank you to those who turned up at our agm yesterday in the horrible weather and congratulations to del anderson for putting her hand up to take on the role as treasurer . Del has been part of the very successful canteen team with matt which they have built up to be very successful with many regulars showing up even in yesterdays rain .
