Our club was started in 1973, playing in the Brisbane centered competition until 1978 - the year that saw the formation of a Gold Coast & Districts rugby union competition. Several Surfers Paradise players have played in the Queensland country competition, and to this day we still have players in the country competition and other representative teams. m around the world. Visiting teams use our facilities to train and play games from club level through to Super 15's. Surfers Paradise Rugby Union is one of the strongest and largest clubs on the Gold Coast and boasts 16 junior and 4 senior teams in the Gold Coast competition.
