Harsh Joshi – T20 Captain

Harsh took on the T20 captaincy for the first time last season and guided Keswick to our third Division 1 T20 premiership, ending an 11-year wait.
A Keswick man through and through, Harsh has served on the committee, played 28 T20 matches and 115 two-day games for the club, and was also vice-captain of the two-day side last season.

Harsh is excited about the challenge of defending the T20 title and is looking forward to once again having the full support of his teammates as they strive for back-to-back success.

B Grade – Reiner Wissing
A relative newcomer to the club after immigrating from South Africa, Reiner has embraced the opportunity to challenge himself by taking on the B Grade captaincy.

He is looking forward to leading a talented group of young players, including his son Lian, helping them develop throughout the season and preparing them to take the next step into A Grade cricket.

A passionate golfer and dedicated trainer, Reiner enjoys playing his shots with the bat while contributing with his reliable medium-pace bowling. He is also a valued parent in our junior program and coached one of our Under 14 teams last season.

C Grade – Wade Matthews

This man needs no introduction. Wade has led our C Grade side with distinction for the past two seasons and will again take the reins this year. He's even getting better at the admin… now we just need to work on the live scoring!

Wade has played 131 games for Keswick and is a dependable wicketkeeper and strong middle-order batter, having claimed the C Grade batting award last season.

He enjoys the challenge of leading a side that combines youth and experience. While captaining the final senior side can often present challenges with player availability, Wade has continually embraced the responsibility and is looking forward to another season at the helm.

Chairperson of Selectors – Trevor Smith

The club would like to thank Scott Curyer for his outstanding efforts as Chairperson of Selectors over the past few years.

Smithy is no stranger to Keswick, having been a pivotal figure at the club across an incredible 367 games. During that time, Trevor has represented nearly every grade and shared the field with generations of Keswick players.

With the club's best interests always at heart, Trevor is as maroon and yellow as they come. He is excited to take on the role, with a strong focus on developing our younger players while maintaining a holistic approach to selection across all grades.

We wish Harsh, Reiner, Wade and Trevor every success in their respective roles as they lead Keswick into the new season.

And that’s a wrap on 25/26 AGM announcements.

Thank you to all that came to the AGM and Senior presentations and congratulations to all award winners and those elected to positions on the committee and Executive positions.

We look forward to working on making 2026/27 an exciting year for all involved in the Keswick cricket club.

There will be announcements in the coming days for the upcoming season where we’ll aim to be just as successful.

Keswick Cricket Club is excited to welcome Heath Mackay as our new President following Cheech stepping down.

Heath brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served six years as Vice President and two years on the general committee. His contribution on the field has been equally impressive, including four years as A Grade captain and a club-record nine John Robinson A Grade Batting Trophies.

Heath also captained the Association side for many years, leading them onto Adelaide Oval, and remains one of only two Keswick players to have won the prestigious Hewett Medal.

Passionate about the future of the club, Heath is committed to building on Keswick's success and ensuring sustained growth and achievement across all grades for many years to come.

Congratulations and welcome to the Presidency, Heath. We wish you every success as you lead the club into its next chapter.

With the AGM now concluded and all award winners recognised, Keswick Cricket Club would like to formally thank David Curyer for his outstanding service to the club, including the past 18 months as President.
David served as Vice President for three years before stepping into the President's role midway through a term when the club needed him most. Throughout his time on the committee, he has provided strong leadership, commitment, and passion for the club.
At 66 years young, "Cheech" may be stepping away from committee duties, but he will still be seen around the club as a player. He is stepping away to dedicate more time to the over-65s cricket community, in which he is heavily involved.
David has played 97 games for Keswick, captained a premiership side during his first stint at the club, and has been a tremendous servant of the club both on and off the field.
On behalf of everyone at Keswick, thank you, Cheech, for your hard work, dedication, and leadership over the past five years on the committee. We look forward to seeing you continue to dominate on the field and thank you for leaving the club in such a strong position.

The Keswick cricket club would like to extend a huge thank you to Ross Ormsby for his outstanding contribution as our Junior Coordinator during the 2025/26 season. We owe him a huge amount of gratitude.

Under Ross’s leadership and guidance, our junior program has continued to thrive, with over 100 junior players taking the field across 12 teams and celebrating 3 premierships and welcoming 68 children into cricket through our Woolworths Cricket Blast program. These numbers are a testament to the time, energy and passion Ross invests in creating a positive environment for every young player and their junior program.

Thank you for another fantastic season Ross, your passion and hard work with the juniors is best in the business and we really appreciate your efforts and everything you do to make our club great. You are truly a Keswick legend!

After an 11-year wait, our T20 side broke the drought and secured the club's third T20 Division 1 premiership in the 2026 season.

The team was superbly led by Harsh Joshi and backed by a committed and talented group of players, who guided us to a memorable Grand Final victory over Coromandel Ramblers, who were chasing their fourth consecutive premiership.

Over the five-game campaign, the side utilised 22 players, highlighting the club's outstanding depth. By Grand Final day, this created some tough selection decisions. Premierships are won by squads, not just elevens, and every player who represented the club throughout the campaign made an important contribution to this success.

As expected, the Grand Final was a hard-fought contest. We restricted Ramblers to 127, with the wickets shared across the bowling attack. The run chase was equally tense, but a crucial 70-run fifth-wicket partnership between Jay Burton and Khushpreet Singh (52) put us within touching distance of victory. Steve McRae and Gurkaranpreet Dhindsa then calmly guided us home to seal the premiership.

As the 2025/26 season comes to a close, it's time to recognise the people whose hard work made it all possible – our incredible Keswick Cricket Club Leadership Team.

While players take the field and members enjoy the season, there's an enormous amount happening behind the scenes that most people never see.

Thank you for the millions of phone calls, the hundreds of follow-ups, the countless emails, meetings, late nights, and all of the thankless jobs that keep our club running. From planning and organising to solving problems before anyone even knows they exist, your dedication has been the backbone of another successful season.

You volunteer your time, energy and expertise because you care deeply about our club, our people, and our maroon and gold family. Your commitment doesn't go unnoticed, and Keswick Cricket Club is stronger because of each and every one of you.

On behalf of everyone in the , thank you for everything you've given throughout the 2025/26 season. We are incredibly grateful for your passion, your leadership, and your unwavering commitment.
