Blue Mountains Junior Rugby Club Nestled in the scenic Lapstone Oval, our club is the heart of Junior Rugby Union for kids aged between 5 and 18 years old.

Join us as we foster a love for the game, teamwork, and sportsmanship in the breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Mountains. Junior Rugby club based in the Lower Blue Mountains. We know some of you are very happy to put rugby season behind you, but our annual Fundraiser Night genuinely matters.

We’re a growing club, and the money raised helps us continue putting back into our players, families and club.

This year, fundraising has helped us do things like provide FREE kits for every registered player, host our Mother’s Day event and support our Presentation Day — just to name a few.

GRAND FINAL CHAMPIONS!

What a day for BMJRC!

Our U10s and U13s have both finished their seasons as Grand Final winners. and we couldn’t be prouder of these two incredible teams!

U10s — JOINT PREMIERS!

What a way to finish the season!

Our U10s came up against a very competitive Balmain side — a team they had battled throughout the season but hadn’t yet been able to overcome.

But they say you save your best for the games that matter most… and that’s exactly what our kids did.

In an absolute Grand Final thriller, the two teams couldn’t be separated, finishing 19–19 with our U10s being named JOINT PREMIERS!

What a performance, what a fight and what a way to battle to the very end.

U13s — GRAND FINAL WINNERS!

Our U13s took on Lane Cove and delivered when it mattered most.

They saved their best game for the biggest game of the season, putting together an incredible performance and showing the determination, teamwork and heart that has taken them all the way to Grand Final day to win 24-17!

What a performance from the boys!

A massive thank you to our amazing coaches Anthony Hooke (U10s) and Adam Mills (U13s), along with their hardworking managers, trainers, parents and every volunteer who has supported these teams throughout the season.

And to all the families — thank you for the early mornings, the long drives out to those eastern suburbs games, the countless training sessions and for giving up your Sundays all season long. Your commitment and support makes days like today possible.

Today is about celebrating our players — their commitment, teamwork, determination and everything they have put into their seasons.

OUR U11s — YOU SHOULD BE SO PROUD

Today our U11s took on a very competitive Norwest Bulls in the Grand Final, and what a battle it was.

The boys fought right until the very end, never giving up and continuing to push until the final whistle. In the end, they fell just one try short — but there is absolutely nothing for them to hang their heads about.

To make it all the way to Grand Final day is an incredible achievement, and every player should be incredibly proud of what they have accomplished this season.

A huge thank you to Morgan McCulloch our incredible U11s coach, along with his hardworking manager, trainers, parents and every volunteer who has supported this team throughout the year.

And to the boys — thank you for giving it everything today. You showed heart, determination, courage and plenty of fight.

The result might not have been what we hoped for, but you made your club incredibly proud.

Father’s Day and Grand Final Sunday—does it get any better?

Huge day tomorrow for our growing club! So proud of our U10s & U11s taking the field at Granville Oval, and our U13s bringing the heat to Woollahra for the Last Dance.

Watching these kids put in the work all season has been incredible. Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, granddads, and rugby parents spending their morning on the sidelines. Win or lose, we are so proud of you no matter what the result!

WITH DISAPPOINTMENT COMES TRIUMPH!

What an absolute masterclass from our Under 10’s, 11’s & 13’s in today’s Semi-Finals they showed unbelievable grit, heart, and character to secure their spots in the GRAND FINAL NEXT SUNDAY!

Under 10s: WON 36-19 vs Dee Why

Playing on home turf against a fiercely competitive Dee Why side that has pushed us all season, the U10s delivered an outstanding performance from every player! Brilliant teamwork from start to finish secures their spot in the big dance next week against Balmain!

Under 11s: WON 7-5 vs Dee Why

Heading into enemy territory on Dee Why’s home soil, our U11s took on a very competitive side in a 1 vs 4 battle and delivered a defensive masterclass. In a tense, hard-fought game, they dug deep, held the line, and pulled off an incredible win!

Under 13s: ADVANCE 31-31 vs Hunters Hill

An absolute thriller on home soil! It was a true tit-for-tat battle against a relentless Hunters Hill side, with every single try matched by the opposition. Thanks to their incredible consistency and higher ladder finish, our U13s are declared the winners and are GF bound!

As a club, we could not be prouder of these players, their dedicated coaching staff, and our unbelievable supporters. You’ve put in the hard work at training all year—now it’s time to lay it all out on the field next Sunday!

Not the ending our Under 15’s & Under 12’s worked so hard for, coming away with heartbreaking losses in the Semi-Final today.

Falling one game away from the Grand Final hurts, but it doesn’t take away from the incredible effort, heart, and commitment these teams showed all year. They gave everything on the field today and represented our club with absolute class.

A massive thank you to the players, staff, and supporters who poured their hearts into this season. Hold your heads high boys —you’ve all done us proud.

WHAT A SEASON IT’S BEEN!

This weekend, our Minis take the field for their final round of the season, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come. They’ve gone from strength to strength, growing in confidence, skills and, most importantly, as a team.

And then there’s our Juniors…

ALL FIVE of our Junior teams are heading into the semi-finals this Sunday! What an incredible achievement and a true reflection of the commitment, determination and heart our players have shown week after week.

But what makes this season even more special is that it’s about more than just rugby.

It’s about the culture we’re building. It’s about our kids supporting each other, families coming together, coaches and volunteers giving their time, and a club that continues to grow both on and off the field.

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our very generous sponsors. Your contribution helps us create opportunities, build our club and give our players a place to belong.

So, to every player, coach, manager, trainer, volunteer, family member and sponsor — THANK YOU.

With a spot in the Grand Final on the line, there’s plenty to play for!

A huge congratulations to our players, and a massive thank you to our coaches, managers and trainers for their time, commitment and dedication all season to get our teams to this point!

This Sunday marks the last round of the 2026 regular season for our Junior Blue Tongues!

What a season it has been, and with all 5 of our Junior teams in the hunt for semi-finals, there is still plenty to play for this weekend! 🔥

One last regular-season game. Stay focused, back each other, play hard and leave everything out on the field — but most importantly, enjoy your rugby and have fun!

OUR BIG FUNDRAISER NIGHT IS BACK!

After a HUGE success last year, our fundraiser night is back Thursday 22nd October from 6pm at the Trots!

After another HUGE season of junior rugby, it’s time for us parents to celebrate surviving another year of early mornings, training, canteen & BBQ duty and cheering from the sidelines!

Think cocktail-style food, drinks, raffles galore, a silent auction and plenty of laughs with your rugby crew.

Last year, the funds raised allowed us to provide FREE playing kits to all our players and with increased registrations this year, we’re hoping to make this year even bigger!
