IT IS FIXABLE.
Unfortunately many female cyclists experience soft tissue pressure while cycling. This can lead to abrasions, damage to tissue, swelling and chronic problems that either stop you from cycling or force many to quit the sport they love. For some it can even lead to surgery.
We have worked with athletes of all levels and ability, it’s clear that rider experience does not make one immune to saddle problems.
If you have never had a conversation about your bone structure, saddle shapes, saddle widths then you’re missing the most important part.
In our previous experience as lead bike fit instructor educating retailers and bike fitters both locally and abroad on the conversations around saddles many still find it awkward to discuss.
Sadly this lack of knowledge or confidence is why many women end up with lots of failed saddle change attempts going from one to the next with no solution.
We hear of the Reddit discussions, the closed Facebook groups, these networks often offer personal experience advice that is not always perfect for you.
If you have struggled with saddle pain and soft tissue issues while cycling then perhaps it’s time to consider a solution that is tailored to you, your riding style and that works with your overall bike position.
A saddle change in isolation is NOT the solution to your saddle problem.
