WAR DAN BUDDY has stormed back to winning form.

He produced a scintillating finish to claim the listed $30,000 CITY OF MELTON PLATE at Melton on Saturday night.

The 5yo rated 1:53.8 in bringing up his 13th career success and take his earnings to $540,499.

This was his first win since late January and followed back-to-back seconds.

3yo filly AMELIAS JEWEL returned to winning form at Launceston on Friday.

Having her third start after a win on debut and then a second place, Amelias Jewel took out the LADBROKES POPULAR PLACE for trainer Emma Stewart.

She will continue her Tasmanian campaign in the care of Bill Dornauf.

ABOUTTIME was also a winner for us on Friday.

The 10yo (trained by Maree Laffan) saluted for the first time since July 2023 in the TRAVLA DON’T FENCE ME IN PACE at Albury.

ARRHYTHMIA has captured her first group 1 victory in style.

The daughter of Vincent found the lead and was never challenged in winning the $200,000 JOHN GIBSON MEMORIAL NSW OAKS at Menangle on Saturday night.

She ran her last 800m in 54.4sec to rate 1:50 over 1609m.

This gives Arrhythmia 10 wins in 12 career starts for $263,435.

Adding to the pride is that we bred her out of Jo An Leonie, the dam of four winners.

It’s a big thank you to Emma and Clayton as trainers, and Cam Hart as the driver.

Hart described the win as “pretty special”.

“She was a great filly for us as a two-year-old and to come back probably even better than she was is pretty exciting.

“She gave me a great feel tonight and she’s just a beautiful filly to drive, so it was pretty exciting across the line,” Hart said.

Hart has driven in her five of her wins.

Two great chances in the Group 1 $200,000 NSW OAKS at Menangle on Saturday night - WILLOWS GIRL and ARRHTYHMIA each having taken out heats in slick time.

Willows Girl will come off gate four and Arrhythmia will have to deal with a wider draw.

Our girls WILLOWS GIRL and ARRHYTHMIA delivered big time at Menangle on Saturday night.

Each stepped up to take out NSW Oaks heats over the short journey of 1609m.

Willows Girl came off the back of the leader to score by a half neck in a slick 1:50.9.

Arrhythmia led all the way in 1:50.2.

Cam Hart took the drive on each of the Emma Stewart-trained duo, which now go to the G1 $200,000 final next Saturday night.

Willows Girl takes a winning run of three into the first of three heats, having already taken the Bathurst Gold Bracelet Final this season.

Arrhythmia is coming off a first-up second at Bendigo in the third heat after an outstanding 2yo season.

The Emma Stewart-trained duo will be driven by Cam Hart.

BROOKLYN DAN lines up at Melton with three wins and a second this preparation.

The much travelled TOUGH SHAZ brought upon her second Queensland victory at Albion Park on Saturday night, leading and rating 1:57.6 in mares company over 2138m.

A winner in Victoria and Tasmania, the 5yo now has 10 career wins.

WILLOWS GIRL is on her way to NSW Oaks heats in winning form.

She covered extra ground from a wide draw before finding the breeze and then grinding out victory in the GOLD CENTRAL VICTORIA PACE at Bendigo on Saturday night.

The daughter of Sweet Lou is unbeaten in three starts this season, coming off a clean sweep of the Bathurst Gold Bracelet.

She’s now on the cusp of reaching $100,000 in earnings with four wins in 10 starts.

We welcome back out star 3yo filly ARRHYTHMIA, having her first start of the season at Bendigo on Saturday night.

The 2025 Victorian and Tasmanian 2yo filly of the year has drawn the pole in open age company.

She’s one of four Emma Stewart-trained starters we have at the meeting, joining CARDIGAN BAY, OLIVER DAN and last-start Bathurst Gold Bracelet Final winner WILLOWS GIRL.
