Lara Buchanan makes music for late-night drives and quiet reckonings. Based in Melbourne, Australia, the emerging singer-songwriter blends sharp rock edges with anthemic pop hooks, crafting a soundscape as vivid as it is raw.

Unpacking themes of nostalgia, existential dread, and the chaotic freedom of young adulthood, her tracks hit with visceral emotional honesty. Fresh off selling out headline shows in both Melbourne and Sydney and backed by the viral success of her breakout single “Gold” (surpassing 2.7 million streams) she delivers a distinctive edge both sonically and lyrically.

The wings of a butterfly deteriorate the more they are touched. This EP is about all the ways we can be touched, and the ever lasting marks they can have on us, all the way down to the bone - the skeleton.

Katchafire - Revival 2.0 (HRDROP083)

The Revival 2.0 album sees Katchafire’s platinum debut album from 2003 remixed by Logan Bell, Stephen Maxwell and Phillip McFarlane.

The 2LP includes ‘Revival 2.0 Guest Edition’ album uniting roots and reggae voices from across the globe including UB40’s Ali Campbell, Hawaii’s Mike Love, UK’s Brinsley Ford, NZ’s Louis Baker, and Australian First Nations artist Emily Wurramara.

“Originally recorded around 2000, the ‘Revival’ album was the band’s first time together in a studio, our first time tracking and mixing and they weren’t as hands-on as they are now with the process. We felt that certain aspects of the finished album left us wanting, so remixing the album is something we’ve always talked about. Twenty-three years on we got the chance, and it was really fun to hear the original studio performances. They still stand up today and it made me feel real proud of those early recordings and the OG team”, Katchafire singer and founding member Logan Bell said.
