Now in my late 40's I enjoy all practices and I am willing to give all styles a go. It wasn't until I found my current teacher, Doris, who I have been with for 8 years now, that I really came to love yoga. Doris taught me so many things but the main take away are:
Its just you and your mat no matter how many people are in the class. Yoga is not about how bendy or stretchy you are, but how you fee
l in the pose. Always listen to your body and come out of or modify a pose when needed. Smile and enjoy yourself. She encouraged me to become a teacher and I am so glad I took her advice. I am an IYTA trained teacher with a Diploma in Yoga, having completed 460 hours of training. I am a Zama Institute certified Yin Yoga teacher. I am Pranayama and mediation teacher with my Certificate 1, Certificate 2 and Certificate 3, trained with the IYTA with David Burgess. I am a Reiki Master. I am certified in aroma touch massages. I am a certified sound healer. I have my First Aid and CPR certified.
