Darwin Clay Target Club An ACTA affiliated club offering S***t, Trap (DTL), Sporting, Tower, ISSF Trap and ISSF S***t. Visitors and new members welcome.

Refer to our web page for the competition program. The Darwin Gun Club (DGC) was formed in 1961 and was located at the old site behind the Darwin showgrounds in Winnellie. In 1975, the club hosted its first annual shoot; an event that has become well known around Australia in clay target circles and still continues today. DGC moved across to its current site on Abala Road, Marrara Sports Complex during 1982/83. The government was indeed generous in its support, providing a large demountable from the old Darwin Hospital as a clubhouse at no cost and also a series of direct grants. Over the years the club has been able to develop its facilities to a level that is unmatched in north Australia or indeed any club in Australia of similar membership. It currently boasts of four down the line layouts, two American s***t layouts, one Olympic s***t layout, one Olympic trap (trench) layout, one Olympic double trap layout, a tower and finally a 5-stand sporting clays layout all set within landscaped grounds within a short driving distance of the majority of Darwin residents and near the international airport.

CHANGES TO THE ADVERTSIED PROGRAM FOR THE NEXT TWO COMPETITIONS

Saturday 19 September
3:30pm 25 Target Point Score
7:00pm (approx.) 50 Target Night Double Barrel - NT Championship

Saturay 3 & Sunday 4 October NT ISSF Championships
Saturday 1:00pm 75 Target Qualification
Sunday 8:30am 50 Target Qualification
Sunday 1:00pm (approx.) Final

The DCTC committee understands that changing competition dates isn't ideal and we appreciate your flexibility. We believe the new date for the ISSF Championship will work better overall and help mate the event a success. Thanks for your understanding and we hope you can still join us.

Due to lack of volunteers the club will be closed tomorrow night 12.8.26. To all those visitors that were planning to attend the club for a come and try, we appoligise for the inconvience.

To our members, this a timely reminder that the club cannot run on the back of a few people and help across the board is required.

We need extra people to learn the sales, MCMS and other duties so that when those key people need to attend to personal or work committments the club dosen't need to be closed.
