Benaraby Dragway last weekend.
Racing was epic! Track - so much fun, Benaraby track volunteers were incredible!!
So nice to get back to the track after 3 months and see the racing family again! This winter break seemed never ending!!

We may not be the fastest, but 3 qualifiers came with 3 PB’s and we have managed to nudge into the 6’s!!! 😎👊💥💪

Benaraby Dragway is bloody epic, with amazing people and facilities!!
Of course the weekend made even better by the BEST group of idiots to hang out with Vintage Gassers Qld and a special mention to Dtrain Photography for the video..!!

Not long now! To say we have a right foot twitch is an understatement! 😂
Its been 3 very long months since we have raced, and we cannot wait to get on the track and burn some rubber!

Will be an early start for us on Fri morning to meet
Robert McIntosh at Coomera BP then grow the convoy steadily as we drive north.

Cant wait to get to Benaraby Dragway - hang with our tribe and race at another awesome rural track with genuine people.

Shane Lucas is bringing his 1947 Austin A40, “BLUE BAYOU”, back to Benaraby Dragway for Friday Night Off Street Drags and CQDRA Championship Round 5 featuring Vintage Gassers QLD on Saturday, 22 August!

Bought in pieces and hand-built in a home garage with basic tools and plenty of determination, this short-wheelbase English gasser has developed a reputation for dry hops, unpredictable fun and the occasional bout of anger issues. 🤣

Its first-ever 𝐰𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝 happened right here at Benaraby last year — so keep your eyes on those front wheels when “BLUE BAYOU” hits the track!
