STRONG GIRLS CLUB — WEEK ONE 💗

Our first focus word for Round 2 is AUTHENTIC ✨

Tonight we talked about what it means to be true to who you are, the things you love, your interests, your personality and all the little things that make you you.

If something makes you happy, lights you up or gets you excited, you don’t need to dim that sparkle just because someone else doesn’t see what you see in it. ✨

Our affirmation this week:
“I can be myself.”

And our weekly challenge is to share something you really like, even if it’s different from what your friends like. 💕

A little reminder for our Strong Girls, and probably all of us…
The things that make you different are often the very things that make you shine. ✨

A little look inside Strong Girls Club 💗

I still have a couple of spots left for our next 6-week round, and I wanted to share a little more about what these sessions are really about.

Yes, we train 💪🏼 We learn age-appropriate strength movements, work through circuits, play games and have a LOT of freeze dance parties 😂

But some of my favourite moments happen when we’re just sitting together talking.

Each week we introduce a new Strong Girls word and have real little conversations about what it means in their world, being themselves, knowing their worth, trusting what they’re capable of, speaking up, finding where they belong and being proud of the things they love. Each girl gets her own affirmation card to keep and collect along the way. 💕

And after all the movement and noise, we practise winding our little bodies back down with breathwork, guided meditation, stretching and quiet mindfulness time.

Strong bodies, yes, but also girls who know themselves, trust themselves and lift each other up. 🫶🏼

Next round starts Monday 7th September at 3:30pm | Ages 9–12

A couple of spots still available 💗

💗 STRONG GIRLS CLUB IS BACK! 💗

Most of our original Strong Girls are coming back for another round, so I’m growing our little crew from 6 to 8 girls, which leaves just 4 spots available.

Strong Girls has always been about so much more than exercise. Each week we start with a new word of the week, chatting about what it means and how we can carry it with us outside the gym. The girls receive their own little affirmation card each week to collect, a reminder of the things we’re learning about ourselves along the way. 💕

Then we MOVE. Age appropriate strength circuits, games, challenges and an unreasonable amount of freeze dancing 😂💃🏼

And just as importantly, we learn how to slow our little bodies back down. Through guided meditation, breathwork, stretching and quiet colouring time, we practise switching off, being present and finding a little calm. 🧘🏼‍♀️🎨

I saw a post recently that got me thinking.

It suggested that coaches should meet certain strength standards and that we all have the same 24 hours to make our health a priority.

It wasn’t because I disagreed with the importance of education, experience or practising what you preach. I absolutely believe coaches should continue learning, train themselves where they can, and lead by example.

What didn’t sit right with me was the assumption that everyone is playing the same game.

“We all have the same 24 hours.”

Do we?

Because one person might have no dependants, flexible work hours and plenty of uninterrupted time.

Another might be juggling kids, work, school drop-offs, sport, caring responsibilities, poor sleep, anxiety, chronic illness, or simply trying to keep their head above water.

Those lives don’t look the same.

And neither should their fitness.

As coaches, I don’t think our job is to compare people’s capacity. It’s to meet them where they are and help them make progress from there.

Most of my clients aren’t training for bodybuilding competitions or chasing elite lifting numbers.

They’re mums. They’re shift workers. They’re busy professionals. They’re women trying to feel stronger, have more energy, keep up with their kids, improve their health, and still have room in their lives for the people and hobbies they love.

That’s the kind of coaching I believe in.

This post also reminded me that it’s okay to unfollow content that no longer serves you. Not because the creator is wrong, but because not every message is meant for every person & what resonated with me at 25 is very different from 33 😅

Fitness shouldn’t require your whole life to revolve around it.

It should fit into your life in a way that’s sustainable.

Because the best program isn’t the most impressive one.

It’s the one you can actually keep doing.

Just a little heads up… I’ll be a little quieter than usual this weekend. 🤍

After Run Club tomorrow morning, I’ll be officially clocking off to celebrate 15 years with Leigh.

We’re not usually big on celebrating milestones, but 15 years feels like a pretty special one. Add in a cosy winter getaway, a weekend without the kids (thanks, Nan 🤍), and it felt like the perfect excuse.

If you know me, you know the journey that led me to Leigh wasn’t exactly a smooth one… 🤪 So I reckon my Mum and Dad might be quietly celebrating 15 years of us too. 😂

If you send me a message over the weekend, I’ll get back to you first thing Monday morning when I’m back in the gym.

Have the best weekend, everyone. See you Monday! 🤍
