Time to get your car out of the shed and turn some laps.

Remember your car must be registered and appropriate class on your speedway Australia licence.

This will be under a speedway Australia permit.

As always spectators are free and so are crew.

Open to all classes of speedway Australia.

WORKING BEE THIS WEEKEND! 🏁

We’ll be down at the track this Saturday from 8:30am, hanging mesh on the new catch fence and getting things one step closer to being race ready!

We need all the hands we can get! The more people we have, the quicker we can get it done, so come down, lend a hand and have some good laughs while we’re at it.

This Sunday the Corowa Car club is holding their annual display and Wahgunyah Speedway is always welcomed to come and put on a display.

Anyone is welcome to attend, this is open to any Speedway car/club, you don't have to be Wahgunyah registered. It's about showcasing our sport and showing off our cars too.

Another big weekend done but another successful one by an amazing club.
Time take up doing all the small finishing up jobs but they need to be done.
The fence is all ready now with all the cables fitted over the weekend ready for the mesh to be hung.
Mowing was done to tidy up the complex.
And the painting has been done and is all but done. Just a few more bit to touch up then ready for the next stage.
Thank you to everyone who has help out over the past several weeks. It's been a huge effort and a super success.
Daylighting of cars also took place today and was a great turn out. We acknowledge that some cars are not quite ready so another one will be in place soon for them.

🏁 𝚆𝙷𝙾’𝚂 𝚁𝙴𝙰𝙳𝚈 𝚃𝙾 𝙱𝙴 𝙳𝙰𝚈𝙻𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃𝙴𝙳?

With the new season getting closer, we want to see how everyone’s racecars are coming along!

If we get enough interest, we’ll be holding a Daylighting Day this Sunday at the track for anyone who is keen to bring their car along and get prepared for the upcoming season!

If you’re not quite ready yet, don’t stress! If we don’t have enough cars ready to go this Sunday, we’ll organise another daylighting day at a later date so no one misses out.

Giving back is always the best feeling and today we we're able to help out another great club by providing them with our old poles that still have plenty of life in them to see the Avalon Quarter Midgets upgrade there fence where needed to continue racing with up and coming new kids to our sports.

Thanks again for reaching out and we have plenty more to come in time, for you to put to great use.

It's all happening here today. Our new 4 star rated catch fence is well underway.
Today we were able to drill, concrete and stand up the new post. With bracing off each 2nd one.
What a huge difference from the old fence which has served it purpose for many years.

A small crew today but a huge achievement to everyone that came down today and over the past few weeks.

🏁 Working Bee This Saturday! 🏁

It’s all hands on deck at the track this Saturday from 9am as we get stuck into some jobs at Wahgunyah Speedway! 💪

The big job for the day will be getting the catch fence done including digging post holes, concreting posts in, installing brace posts and welding everything into place.

There’s also plenty of other jobs to keep everyone busy, including: 🌱 Mowing around the grounds
🎨 Continuing the painting inside
🔨 General jobs around the track

If you’ve got a few hours to spare, come on down and lend a hand! It’s a great chance to catch up with everyone, get some work done and help get the track looking its best for the season ahead.

Every extra set of hands makes a difference, and it would be great to see some new faces getting involved rather than leaving it to the same few volunteers.

And don’t stress lunch will be provided! 🍔

Another successful weekend done.
A huge thank you to those how came down over the weekend.
We certainly are kicking goals and moving forward.

* Painting is coming along brilliantly and getting closer each week to revealing the new rooms
* The wall is all tied back and clean fill has been placed over the top to smooth things out so that next weekend we can start to drill the holes for the new fence.

It's has been a huge undertaking but it is all starting to take shape now.

📣 WORKING BEE – THIS SATURDAY 🏁

Following on from last week’s post, we’ve got another working bee this Saturday from 9am.

There’s plenty to get stuck into, including:

🔨 Painting inside the office
🔧 Welding the wall back together and packing clean fill behind it
🌱 Mowing and general grounds work

If you’ve got a few hours to spare, come on down and lend a hand! Every helping hand makes a big difference to the club. 🙌

🍽️ Lunch is always provided, so come along, get involved and have a catch-up with everyone.
