Equal Footingball

Equal Footingball Equal Footingball promotes the 4 F’s: Fun, Friendship, Family and of course…Football. We encourage parent participation at this level.

Equal Footingball is a Football West program that provides a club environment and suitable training with fortnightly competition. Four divisions are available for people with disabilities to find their game! Participants are an important part of a Football Club offering Equal Footingball where they engage in regular training sessions and matches during the winter competition season. Coaches and co

ordinators will allocate player divisions based on ability with consideration for players overall goals and safety in mind. Equal Footingball Division 1– Performance

Equal Footingball Division 1 is the highest level of competition in the Equal Footingball Divisions. Division 1 is recommended for those players who seek competition, are highly skilled, take their football very seriously and aim to compete in State and National Pathways. Equal Footingball Division 2 – Pathway

Division 2 caters for those players who have developed skills and game awareness while still enjoying the social aspects of the game. This division is more competitive with most players working on potentially moving to Division 1. Equal Footingball Division 3 – Participation

Equal Footingball Division 3 caters to those players who have learnt the basics and are developing skills, game awareness and have the ability to participate in basic match play with some support. Equal Footingball Division 4 – Entry

Equal Footingball Division 4 is the entry level division that caters for those who have limited football experience or ability and who require support on the pitch. This is the division for those that love to have a go and is lot’s of fun.

Well what a fantastic End of Season Celebration we had.

Many thanks to Cockburn City SC for organising the wonderful venue Coogee Beach WA Surf Life Saving Club that we celebrated at and paying for all our drinks, as well as the City of Cockburn for funding the venue for us.

So many more people to thank...

Firstly, our players. Without them we would not have
EFD. Their smiles, friendships and skill keep us all going back week after week to watch them all play the game they love.

Secondly, our coaches and team managers. Without our key volunteers, EFD would simply not exist, so I thank them all for their hard work and dedication to our players and families.

EFD is managed by Football Futures Foundation as part of the Football West framework and their support is very much appreciated. All our awards are kindly donated by Football Futures which we are so very grateful for.

I really want to take this opportunity to thank all our parents and support for always helping us out especially during match days. Scoring, reffing, coaching and everything in between.

Lastly, I like to think of EFD as a family and watching our players playing football, enjoying themselves and the friendships everyone has is proof of this, not to mention our beautiful families and friends and the special bond we all share. We now have over 80 players in EFD and growing every year. We have pathways to the WAID Football Program and the WA Para Football Program giving opportunities to players that are the envy of other states. No one offers football for players with disability in Australia as WA do. We really are the leaders in football for players with disabilities in Australia and we should all be very proud of this achievement.
