Australian Kart Championships - Rnd 2
Ipswich

Brock 17
With promising pace on Friday, Brock started off front row for Qualifying
Pushing his own air for the duration he qualified 6th in his group and 11th overall out of 60 drivers

Heat 1 - 3rd
Heat 2 - 4th
Heat 3 - 7th (wet)
Heat 4 - 2nd
Final - 3rd 🥉

Great result and a podium to celebrate his birthday 🎈
Congratulations to Hudson on the victory and my buddy for crossing the line 🥈

Luke 94
It was a rollercoaster in KA2 and Luke continually pushed himself, Qualifying 10th from 31 drivers

Heat 1 - 9th
Heat 2 - 14th
Heat 3 - 12th (wet)
Heat 4 - 9th
Final - DNF (downpour!)

Unfortunately like so many others our tyre choice was wrong with a downpour mid race, 3 laps short of the checkered flag the third spin he just couldn’t hold 😬

Weekend wrap up
Victorian State Championships
Albury Wodonga

New track, new adventures

Brock - Cadet 12 - 40 Drivers
Friday practice was positive hanging around the top ten
Qualifying - 4th
Heat 1 - 5th
Heat 2 - 2nd
Heat 3 - 5th
Final - 5th

We struggled with straight line speed but proud of how Brock drove to keep with the front runners in an extremely competitive field. He had a great time
Congratulations to the winners!

Luke - KA2 - 17 Drivers
This weekend was purely about getting the time on track with drivers in this class to help him progress

Practice was spent learning the track
Qualifying - 14th
Heat 1 - 7th
Heat 2 - 9th
Heat 3 - 8th
Final - 5th on track but unfortunately got his first drop down for the weekend which saw him drop to 7th

Proud of how Luke pushed himself all weekend and the final was a ripper!

Mixed weather conditions, a new class and a track that tests the best drivers

Brock
Qualifying 10/28 (Group 1)
Heat 1 - 12th
Heat 2 - 5th
Heat 3 - 15th
Heat 4 - 7th
Final 8/40
Championship Standing - 14/56

Saturday saw too many driving errors
Sunday a new kid who drove with more confidence
Brock started out of 19th for the final and drove through the field to catch the front runners and finish 8th
Was great to see he was able to reset and with the pace he has we look forward to round 2

Qualifying 11/29
Heat 1 - 4th
Heat 2 - 21st
Heat 3 - 9th
Heat 4 - 12th
Final - 10th
Championship Standing - 9/30

Was promising to see Luke match it with the more experienced drivers in this class and with top 10 finishes we look forward to watching him progress throughout the year
