Rusty came home 5th in the Avalon Raceway 360/LS track championship.

Unfortunately we dropped one feature getting caught up in others crashing which hurt our points , and the same with James Oliver too.

Still a good result considering the good numbers of 360/LS cars at Avalon. Congratulations to Brett Milburn , Jordy Rae and Chris Solomon on there to three placing for the series

🏁AUSTRALIAN CHAMPIONSHIP AVALON 2027

Avalon Raceway is excited to announce that the Australian 360-LS Sprintcar Championship will be held at the Lara venue from April 1-3, 2027.

Backed by the fantastic support of C&H Trucking and Dirt X Industries, the championship is expected to attract a strong field of competitors from across the country for what promises to be one of the biggest 360-LS Sprintcar events seen at Avalon.

Avalon Raceway Speedway Operations Manager David Mills said the venue was privileged to secure another national championship event.

“As is the case for the Formula 500 Australian Championship, we are privileged to have the 360-LS Sprintcar Australian Championship at Avalon Raceway come April 2027 and we are even luckier to have the support of C&H Trucking and Dirt X Industries for what promises to be a huge weekend of 360-LS Sprintcar racing.”

Mills also confirmed that AMCA Nationals will support Night One on Friday, while Super Sedans will join the program for Championship Night on Saturday.

With a practice night and Calcutta on Thursday, plus the event falling during the Victorian school holiday period, Avalon Raceway is set to be a destination for racers and fans alike.

2025/2026 Racing Season Review

With the sprintcar season now finished , Rusty has now completed his first year as a rookie at 16 years old.

Its was a up and down season with some really good highs but also got caught up it a few of other peoples crashes which where our lows and also hurt us then with series points

Rusty did 14 races for the SRA season , 10 of them where 360/LS races and 4 of then where with the 410's in his LS.

He did more races than any other rookie this season as his goal was to get in lots of laps and support the SRA of Victoria. Goal achieved

Rusty has 1 podium which was at Avalon Raceway
2 of his results where top 5 finishes !!
and he had 3 Top 10 finishes all up

He also had 3 meetings where he was running towards the front in the A main and got caught up in a crash and had a DNF :-(
That's racing !!

He really enjoyed racing against the 410's and passed a lot of them in a B Main and also made the 410 A main at Avalon , only to then get a flat tyre 5 laps in.

So from traveling around Victoria from east to Bairnsdale , North to Moama and locally at Premier Speedway at Warrnambool, we enjoyed all the racing , good and bad.

Rusty made a lot of new friend's along the way and looks forward to racing as much as he can next season.

Rusty would like to thank his dad Wazza and his younger brother Beau for crewing on the car all year. Also his mum for doing all the logistics and helping work out the finances for the year.
