Throwback to our Indigenous Round — 31st July & 2nd August 🖤💛❤️

Our annual Indigenous Round is a special time where every player is presented a jersey designed especially for the club. This year, we’re incredibly proud to wear jerseys designed by, Lisa Murray-Bouquet.

While Indigenous Round has always been about celebrating our Culture, Family and Community, this year it carries another important message Mental Health.

A reminder that when things get tough, you don’t have to face it alone. Keep going. Stick with it. Reach out, speak up and remember that there is always a reason to keep pushing forward. ❤️

Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Appin Dogs Rugby League Football Club will be held on:

📍 Appin Pub, 84 Appin Road, Appin

At the AGM, all current committee positions will be declared vacant and open for nomination. We encourage all members to consider getting involved and nominating for one of the following roles:

Senior Vice President
Assistant Secretary
Canteen Coordinator
Social Media Coordinator
Sponsorship Coordinator
Merchandise Coordinator

OA MEN’S TEAM - SEASON RECAP!

I would just like to say thank you all for the great season.

Would have been great if we could have put in more this year, Still a great achievement this season to make the semis.

Turning up for the last game and giving everything right to the final whistle showed your character.

Your effort, determination and refusal to give up were outstanding.

Each of you contributed something unique to the team, not just as players but also as teammates.

A big thank‑you to Billy,Kev,Bill,Jacob,shorty and our number 1 assistant Micheal for their support and hard work across the season.

Also not to forget our Committee, sponsors and volunteers couldn’t have done it without you,thank you again much appreciated.

Special mention to Baz, the heart and sole of the team, thank you for all your hard work and setting the tone.

Tonight, our U/14s GLT, U/16s GLT and LLT had their final training session before they take the field in their Grand Finals this Friday night.

What a journey it has been. The tough sessions, the wins, the loses, the challenges, the laughs and all the moments in between have brought these teams to this point.

We couldn’t be prouder of the commitment, resilience and heart each and every player has shown throughout the season. And behind every team is a group of coaches, families and supporters who have been there every step of the way. ❤️

Friday night isn’t just about the result, it’s about celebrating everything these players have worked for, the friendships they’ve made and the memories they’ve created together.

Enjoy every moment, Back yourselves and Play for each other girls, whatever happens, you’ve already made us incredibly proud. 🫶

Good luck to all three teams we’ll be behind you every step of the way! ❤️🐶

Women In League Round - 2026 🩷

On Friday the 17th July and Sunday 19th July, we proudly hosted our annual Women in League Round. This is a day dedicated to celebrating the strength, spirit, and contributions of women across all levels of our game.

In 2026, the Jessica Marshall Memorial Award was deservedly presented to Olivia Pizzuto , whose relentless effort and never-say-die attitude inspired her teammates and embodied everything the award stands for. Jessica’s legacy lives on through players like Olivia, and we are proud to keep her memory alive in this special way.

Last year marked the beginning of a heartfelt tradition with the introduction of the Jessica Marshall Memorial Award. We lost Jessica to Cancer last year. She is the adored mother of Kaylah Marshall, our Women’s League Tag Co-Captain. This Memorial award is presented annually to a player from our Ladies League Tag team who exemplifies grit, determination, and an unwavering spirit throughout the game.

A really solid season for the Appin Dogs Over 35s! 🐶

Great turnouts at training throughout the season, and the boys really bonded as a team. We had some quality wins, a few losses, and plenty of competitive games along the way.
