I love sharing with you all everything to do with sewing but sometimes I like to give you a glimpse of our life living on an Outback sheep and cattle station. We are so lucky to be having an amazing season with some beautiful rain earlier in the year but with the weather warming up and plenty of green grass around, it calls for the ever so annoying blow fly return 🪰😤
The perks of living on a sheep station is that we have an endless supply of home grown meat. Although it doesn’t make a great combination with blow flies 😏
So at 5.00am the alarm goes off to get up and start cutting up the sheep that had been hanging in the coolroom for the last couple weeks. All to try and beat the bloody blow flies getting their share 🤨
The upside to getting up that early was the sunrise of course!
So here’s to fresh loin chops, big lamb roasts, and no flies 🥳
