ATTENTION: RANGE OFFICERS NEEDED or FEES will increase and the range will CLOSE on some days.
Range Officers are the key to any gun club. Without them the range cannot operate. Its as simple as that.
At the moment the club has 26 Range Officers on the roster. The club needs to fill 24 shifts per month to keep our normal operating days and hrs.
More range officers means that we can rotate RO’s through the roster with a greater rest break between allocated days. It also allows us to ability to open the range on more days or hours.
Long story short, if we can’t get more Range Officers on the roster we will have to;
1. Increase Range fees to allow the club funds to reimburse the RO’s for their time and/or
2. Reduce the number of days the range operates.
Becoming a range officer has many benefits, including:
1 It is a simple way that any member can contribute to their club.
2 Allows the range to continue operating which benefits EVERY member
3 Range Officer training is free and only takes about 3hrs
4 It is a rewarding experience.
5 A way to pass on your experience and knowledge to new shooters
6 Provide a positive range experience to every member.
7 You will be rostered on with another RO each time to provide guidance and assistance.
8 No Range Fees for qualified Range Officers on any day they attend the range.
The club is holding a Range Officer Training Day on Saturday 30th May @ 9am. The training is FREE and takes about 3 hrs. There is some pre reading which will be sent to you. On the training day you will receive face to face theory and practical instructions. You don’t need to be a master of fi****ms to be a Range Officer. Common sense gets you 80% of the way there!
You will be provided a free BBQ lunch on the training day. After completion of the course, you will be rostered for 3 probationary RO shifts with an experienced range officer to guide you and give you practical advice and instructions.
After that you are expected to go onto the Range Officer Roster. Remember the more RO’s we get the less frequently you will be rostered.
You must complete a minimum of 5 x RO shifts per year once qualified. For that commitment you will pay NO RANGE FEES on the main range for EVERY one of your attendances for the year on ANY DAY the range is open. This does not apply to the shotgun range or the Pistol sub club.
Contact [email protected] to register your attendance or to ask any questions and we will ring you back.

Wow, what a night. Over 280 visitors for the Wagga Workwear Hunting Expo. Some great exhibitors on display and some awesome products.
Plenty of things to see, touch, try, and even shoot, from ATV's, Vehicles, Thermal and night vision optics, scopes, safes, tools, knives, torches, game meat preparation, Coolers, gun maintenance, safe storage and heaps more.

As if that wasn't enough the rolling BBQ with venison sausages and goat hamburgers was a hit.

If you weren't there you missed an awesome night. Several thousand dollars in luck door prizes were drawn with over 20 winners. Prizes included thermal gear, knives, torches, tools and even a chainsaw.

We hope everyone had an awesome night and cant wait to see you next year for an even bigger event !!!
