The Mangoplah Cookardinia United Eastlakes Football Netball Club extends its heartfelt condolences to the Clark family on the passing of Horace "Horrie" Clark, aged 101.

A true legend of our club, Horrie was one of Mangoplah's greatest centre half forwards. Renowned as an outstanding mark, he possessed the grace, timing and football intelligence that set him apart from his peers.

Under the coaching of Bull Byrne, Horrie played a pivotal role in Mangoplah's back-to-back premierships in 1956 and 1957, leading from the front with skill, courage and determination. His contribution to our club's proud history will never be forgotten.

Today, we honour not only a remarkable footballer but a man whose legacy will continue to inspire generations of Goannas.

Our thoughts are with Malcolm, Duncan and the entire Clark family during this difficult time.

Rest peacefully, Horrie. Thank you for everything you gave to our great club. 💙💛🦎

Congratulations to Halle Baggio, who made her A Grade debut on Saturday 20 June 2026 against Leeton.

Having had the pleasure of having Halle in B Grade last year as a young, timid junior at the beginning of the season and watching her grow through the season, really showed the maturity and drive this girl has. Happy to put in the extras, take on feedback from her coaches and put anything on the court that is asked of her is setting Halle up for a very strong netball career. Trialing strongly at the beginning of this year, Halle was elevated to A Reserve.

Halle played the third quarter for A Grade on Saturday and was an immediate impact on the court. Her hard drives, strong take on the ball, fluent shooting style and strong holding body had me thinking ‘this is not the same timid girl from the beginning of the 2025 season’. So very proud of you Halle – you killed it on Saturday. Keep working hard, the development in your game in only 1.5 seasons is up there with the best I’ve seen. You are a pleasure to coach and your debut stood out.

Congratulations, we can’t wait to see what you bring the rest of the season 💛💙

The U17 Girls have had a fantastic first half of the season. As an extremely young team made up mostly of new players, the first half of the year has been about learning how each other plays, building combinations and finding their place within the team.

The girls have worked hard and continue to improve every week. Their growth and commitment have been reflected in their results, with the team currently sitting 3rd on the ladder.

This week, we take on Leeton in what will be another great test, but the girls are ready for the challenge
