🏏 ROOKIES PRE-SEASON KICKS OFF TOMORROW! 💙💛

Our West Bentleigh Rookies are back at Victory Park tomorrow from 10:00am, and we can’t wait to get the group together and start building towards the new season!

We’re also always looking to welcome new players into the Bulldogs family. Whether your child has played cricket before or is looking to give it a go for the first time, our Rookies program is a great place to learn, improve, make new friends and enjoy being part of a team.

🚨🏏 BLASTERS REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN - DON’T MISS OUT! 🏏🚨

Friday afternoons at West are back from Friday 6th November! 💙💛

A quick reminder to all families that registrations are now open for the West Bentleigh Blasters Program - and we’re also looking to welcome plenty of new young Bulldogs to join us this season!

Our Blasters program is proudly one of the biggest in SECA, with Friday afternoons at West becoming a fantastic weekly event for kids and families.

If your child is new to cricket, keen to give it a go, or already loves being part of the action, Blasters is the perfect place to start.

🏏🔥 WEST BENTLEIGH IS BUILDING TOWARDS A BIG START TO THE SEASON! 💙💛

Pre season is well and truly underway, with plenty happening across the club over the next few weeks as we build towards our Season Launch at Victory Park on Saturday 10th October.

Our Under 12 Rookies kick off their pre season this Saturday from 10:00am - 11:00am at Victory Park, and new players are absolutely welcome. If your child is keen to have a go at cricket, come down, meet the coaches and get involved!

Then, on Saturday 10th October, we’ll bring the whole club together for our Season Launch.

We’ll start the day with junior training from 11:00am - 12:00pm, followed by a BBQ for our junior players, parents and families. From 12:30pm, our senior players will take centre stage in an intra-club T20 match.

We’d love to see players, families, members, past players and supporters all down at Victory Park for a big afternoon of cricket, food and club atmosphere as we officially launch the new season.

💙💛 INTRODUCING THE WBCC 1932 CLUB 🐶🏏

The 1932 Club is a new initiative designed to help secure the future of the West Bentleigh Cricket Club. Founded in 1932, our club has spent more than 90 years building a proud history, creating friendships and giving generations of players, families and supporters a place to call home. The 1932 Club gives our wider club community the opportunity to play a direct part in protecting that legacy and helping ensure West Bentleigh continues to thrive for generations to come. Every membership, big or small, makes a difference.

Our membership levels are named in honour of four families who represent different eras and contributions to the West Bentleigh Cricket Club - Lydster, Ward, Reid and Massey. Each name has its own place in our club’s history, and together they represent the people, personalities and generations that have helped make West Bentleigh what it is today. The four membership levels are a way of recognising that legacy while inviting today’s members and supporters to become part of the next chapter.

Lydster Membership - $50

* Official 1932 Club membership

CLUB UPDATE!

We wanted to share a quick update with our community as we continue planning for the future of the club.

Our focus remains clear, to build a sustainable club that supports a strong junior pathway, while creating opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to play cricket, connect socially and feel part of something meaningful.

The club is currently in a stable position, both financially and in playing numbers. With that in mind, we are exploring what an amalgamation could offer in helping us achieve our long term goals and strengthen what we already have.

Importantly, we are genuinely excited about both possibilities, continuing our proud 94 year history as a standalone club, or exploring new opportunities that can support future growth.

We will keep everyone updated as things progress and appreciate the ongoing support from our community.
