Bathurst Clay Target Club offers DTL and S***t Shooting in a safe and friendly environment. Practice is available most Friday afternoons from 12:30pm . DTL competitions are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month except October. S***t competitions are held on the 3rd Sunday of the month.

This Sunday we have the June 100t S***t competition from 11am gates from 10.30.

Tomorrow we have the DTL and S***t Practice from 12pm...
Last weekend we held the annual Side by Side competition with 9 "wrong way round" guns competing for the name on the trophy.

Chris Agustin took out the honours with a 43/50

This was shot in conjunction with the 100t June Compak competition, with 21 shooters enjoying and absolutely beautiful winters day.

Looks like the weather will break just in time for tomorrow's DTL and S***t Practise from 12pm. There has been a lot of side by side action dur to the upcoming Side by side trophy shoot on Sunday. $1000 on offer across all grades...

Last Sunday, 15 shooters braved some "English" weather to shoot the 5th sunday English sporting.

This Sunday we have the June Compak 100t, and for those with one, the side by side trophy championship will be run in the first 50t. $1000 sponsored prize money just for the SxS event and then normal prize money for the 100t compak. (The 50t Sxs scores will count towards the 100t Compak scores, why not win both)

What's that? A post on a Friday???...
Yes, I had a bit of a brain fart in last night's post.
In regards to the Side by Side trophy 🏆 coming up on the first Sunday in June. I said last night that there was no prize money, well that couldn't be further from the truth. The fact is there is 💲$1000 💲sponsorship on the table, just for the 50t sxs event. $200 for the winner of the sxs comp and $200 (1st,2nd,3rd) in every grade. We wont be combining grades, if you are the only B grade shooters, you win 1st in B grade. So it would be worth your while digging out the side x side just for the first 50t.
Also, the 50t sxs event is included in the 100t compak event and no extra charge to enter. You can then go on and win the 100t standard compak event. It could turn into a bit of a pay-day 🤑

Gday Squad,
Friday afternoon practise is on a bit later tomorrow due to a school cross country, we will be in from 1pm for S***t and DTL. We will be there until we are somewhere else.

This Sunday being the 5th Sunday, we have the "All Welcome" English sporting from 11am. All competent licensed shooters are welcomed. One of my favourite events. 50t event, can be shot twice and your best 50 to count. $1000 prize money for the first 50/50 to be shot. Normal prize money across all grades apply. Get up here!

The first Sunday of June (Sunday week) we have the Side by Side trophy on offer. The first 50 targets count towards to the trophy and scores go towards the 100t event. No prize money for the SxS competition, just the immortality of you name on a trophy. You can shoot the 100t with a over/under but obviously excluded from the SxS event...Clear as mud? Good... it makes sense to me...🤣

Gday squad.
Tomorrow we have the Friday DTL and S***t Practise from 12pm until we go home.

Last week 6 attendees for the May S***t Comp. With Heath Dobson taking out the chockies.

This week, no comp and the club will be closed.

Upcoming events;

Sunday 31st May we have the 5th Sunday English Sporting, open to all competent licensed shooters from any organisation (the way it should be). 50 target event and you shoot it twice with your best 50 to count and dont forget, $1000 for the first shooter to shoot 50/50.

Sunday 7th June, is our side by side sporting event. The first 50 targets of the 100t event to count for the sxs and then, of you are shooting alright, go on and shoot for high gun, or if you're not, change guns and shoot the remainder. You can still shoot 100t with an OU and take out the normal shoot honours (but not the sxs Trophy obviously).

Last Sunday we had the May Compak Sporting with 18 shooters basking in some brilliant Autumnal weather, an absolutely cracking day.

This weekend, we have the 100t Handicap, a great leveller with the lower grade shooters in with a big chance of taking out some decent prize money. So if you are chasing another meter or chasing the prize money, this is a great event.
Unfortunately Tony and Ricky (and Tony's Sausages) won't be there so you are stuck with me, for both running the office and the lunch preparation. Now, I guarantee it won't hold a candle to Tony's Sausages but you probably wont die. 🤞
