It was lovely sunny conditions on Saturday for our ISSF Trap (trench) event.

We had 2 squads of shooters from Shooting Australia make the journey to Morwell, and it was great to see some of our current and emerging talent shooting on our layouts.

Congratulations to Nathan Argiro on taking out the overall after the final.

Yesterday we had 16 members head to Nepean Clay Target Club (inc.) for South East Zone - Victoria Round 4.

Ken Balcombe shot the possible in the Handicap and after a shoot off Ken came out on top, winning the Handicap. A great effort Ken! 🏆

Another Morwell win was Warren McPherson taking 1st in B in the Medley event.

We entered 3 teams in the event yesterday and once again were only a few targets behind the leader, but we’re chuffed that we’re 3rd overall for the series.

Thank you to everyone who travelled to Nepean, it got a bit nippy by the end of the day, but we posted some good scores again for the Series! 🙌

What a great day at Morwell Gun Club for our August Shoot, with 43 shooters taking on the Russ Kingsley Memorial 60 Target Mixed Targets, followed by a 40 Target Handicap.

Congratulations to our President Todd and also to our member Mark on making the South East Zone - Victoria Ball Trap team for 2026.

This event is shot over 3 rounds, with 2 rounds being used to select our team.

The gents are off to Warrnambool Gun Club in October to compete against the three other Victorian zones.

Todd also took out the series high gun this year, well done Todd 🥇

We welcomed 44 shooters to Morwell yesterday for the 100 Target Iceman Shield.
