Welcome to Studio B! Studio B follows the bbodance syllabus and conducts examinations yearly in Classical Ballet & Tap. Have fun, get fit & learn how to dance!!!

Dance classes from Mon-Sat for students aged 3 years + in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Pointe, Hip-Hop, Stretch/Body Conditioning, Performance Troupe, Singing & Private Lessons! Established in 2012 by sisters Velita & Juneta Bowey, we offer classes for students aged 3 years + from Beginners to a Pre Professional level. Classes are offered in the styles of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics, Hip-Hop,

Stretch/Body Conditioning, Pointe, Performance Troupe & Singing from Monday - Saturday. We perform regularly within the community, host end of year concert performances and compete locally, within the NT & interstate at several dance competitions each year. We travel interstate for workshops wherever possible, conduct overseas tours & also host an array of wonderful guest teachers at our Studio! Congratulations to all who participated in this wonderful community event over the last two weeks. It takes a lot of courage to step foot on such a big stage, especially in solo performances, and we are proud of all our students, regardless of placings!

The biggest thanks to our wonderful teaching team and student teachers who supported/created and choreographed in the Eisteddfod this year. THANK YOU: Tiphenie Evans, Abbey Brown, Lisa-Marie Burgoyne, Madison Hull (assisted by Cadence H), Jesse Twohig, Ella N-P & Lucy S plus our past Choreographers/Alumni: Meghan Wilson, Coco Cavalier, Lani Zander, Leah Cato & Mia Auricht!

Thank you Lucy S, Abbey B, Ella N-P, Annalise M & Lucy G for all your backstage help and looking after our younger students throughout the entire Eistedddfod!

Lastly, thank you to the Centralian Eisteddfod committee for volunteering so much of your time to run this huge event. It is a mammoth undertaking, and we appreciate your time and hard work, especially that of President Allison Huhs! Looking forward to (fingers crossed) many more Centralian Eisteddfods to come!

Three huge of days of dance complete at the 2026 Centralian Eisteddfod. So many photos and results to come; but capping it all off tonight with the Centralian Eisteddfod concert featuring “highlights” of the Eisteddfod across the music, speech/drama and dance sections. Free to watch (donations accepted) at the Araluen Arts Centre starting at 6.30pm. Five Studio B routines have been asked to perform. Come along if you’re free, and support some tremendous local talent! 😁

The dance sections of the 2026 Centralian Eisteddfod have officially commenced with over 100 Studio B students aged 6+ participating in over 200 solos, duets and group routines over the next 3 days! Come down to the Araluen Arts Centre and see what this wonderful community event is all about. Entry is free with sessions starting at 9am, 1pm & 5pm daily 😁🤩🥳

The Centralian Eisteddfod has kicked off for another year with the music sections starting this week, and dance to follow next week. Congratulations to our choir group led by Lisa-Marie Burgoyne on 1st Place in their 16&u vocal group & to our Ukulele/Vocal students led by Madison Hull & supported by Cadence Hull for 1st place in the mixed ensemble trio/quartet 16&u section and HC in the mixed ensemble group 16&u section! A wonderful start to the 2026 Eisteddfod 🤩

Another wonderful Bangtail Muster parade done and dusted for the Studio B crew. Very proud of our dancers who brought all their energy, community spirit & lots of positive vibes to the parade after a very hard week for the Alice… We feel lucky to be surrounded by our community who band together during very difficult times. 2026 has been tough for both our small town and to our own little Studio B family, but we are proud to be a part of the events like the Bangtail Muster that remind us just our special and unique Alice Springs is!

Thank you to all who make this event possible: Rotary Club of Alice Springs, the Aplin family (especially Matt) for driving the ute through the parade to transport our sound system, Kris for making the studio a portable battery box to power our sound system, our Mum Leony and Aimee for carrying the Studio B banner with pride & my amazing sister Velita who managed to dye 52 white shirts pink at a moments notice, so that we could play our own small part in commemorating a beautiful little angel gone too soon 💞

A timely reminder to us all to hold those you love and your community close to you, always x
