Good Afternoon Bowlers,
2026 ASGC John Healy Memorial Pennant - Week 3
23 Bowlers played today. Week 1 we had an even 20, week 2 we had another 20, this week 23. It is great to have so many people participating and enjoying their bowls. Every game is having bearing on the end results.
The Blue Roos has 5.5 members, with Kylee, Geoff.S and Adrian rotating through, The red DINGOES had 6 members, the yellow EAGLES had 6 members, and the green LIZARDS had 5 members. Every team had opportunity today.
With Pat, Josh and Bruce Thomas away representing us at the BPL finals in Katherine.We had some movement on our "Ironman/Ironwoman Plate Individual Medley" standings.
The Yellow EAGLES are soaring back up the team leaderboard with Hookie, Yvonne and Bill achieving some great results to help their team today.
Charlie has been welcomed back into the pack as a red DINGO, with a great day out, claiming the day with 3 wins, +18 shots, with Yvonne not far behind, 3 wins + 12 shots.
Hookie and Lindsay drew 3rd with 2.5 wins +6 shots. Another roll off corner to corner, saw Hookie draw right to the plinth of the green. Lindsay showed her class and drew under Hookie, to claim outright 3rd today.
Other notable performances, Katherine, preparing to represent the NT again, a solid 2 wins +16 shots, with Scott Adams hot on her heels, 2 wins +14 shots.
We welcomed Geoff Matters to bowls as a travelling bowler, and Adrian Casey has found a home with the blue ROOS.
I said it the first week, every bowl matters and has an impact on the games and end result.
If you are not at bowls you are missing out !!!!
With 2 weeks remaining, every team is still in the hunt for the 2026 ASGC John Healy Memorial Pennant win!
Pat is still leading our "Ironman Plate Individual Medley" by only shots, wins will change this up.
Put it in your calendar, get to bowls on Saturday morning 9am for 9.30am start.
