Port Adelaide Rowing Club is the home of rowing in South Australia. Over 140 years old, PARC has a rich local and national history equivalent to any rowing club in Australia. PARC is proud to be one of the few clubs in South Australia to welcome people into the sport of rowing regardless of age, experience, ability or status. We aim to win premierships but also, along the way, to introduce as many
people as possible to the great sport of rowing. We are a strongly family-oriented club – our members include families of grandparents, parents and kids and our social activities are family-friendly. Based on the banks of the Port River, the club is active all year long. We are one of the few non-school rowing clubs to welcome junior rowers and teach them rowing basics. We also offer anyone the opportunity to come along and try rowing free of charge, in a safe and friendly environment, often with one-on-one beginner coaching. Sunday mornings (after 9am) are a great time for an informal visit to the club for a look around and to arrange a time to try rowing or, for those with previous rowing experience, to talk about joining a competitive squad or social rowing group.
