Our wonderful QuickSteps photographer, Charlie, will be capturing photos of all your amazing costumes tomorrow night!

For some of you, this will be a particularly special opportunity to see Charlie, as she prepares to take some time away from QuickSteps.

As some of you may already know, Charlie is preparing to go into hospital for a stem cell transplant as part of her treatment. Following the transplant, she will face a long period of recovery, further treatment much of which is in strict isolation - so she will be home-bound and unable to work for much of next year.

We know it will be a long and challenging journey, and we're sure many of you will appreciate the opportunity to give Charlie a big hug, wish her well and let her know just how much she is loved and appreciated by our QuickSteps community.

Let's get behind Charlie! ❤️

We know how much QuickSteppers love supporting one another, so we'd like to turn tomorrow night's party into a little fundraiser to help Charlie and her family during this challenging time.

🌟✨ 2026 NIGHT OF THE STARS BALL – A NIGHT TO REMEMBER! ✨🌟

What an unforgettable evening! 💃🕺🥂

On Saturday, 24 October, Adelaide hosted one of its most glamorous dance events of the year - the spectacular Night of the Stars Ball 2026, proudly supporting the Childhood Cancer Association for 31 years! ❤️

✨ Elegant gowns, stunning costumes, fantastic music, breathtaking floorshows, exciting DanceSport competitions, and a ballroom filled with glamour, energy, and wonderful people!

As always, our QuickSteps Dance Studio family was delighted to be part of this magnificent celebration of dance. Many of our students joined the evening as guests and spectators, while others stepped onto the competition floor to showcase their talent and passion! 🌟

🏆 A huge congratulations to Allan, Marissa, Bair & Caleb on their wonderful performances and successful competitions! We are so proud of you all! 👏🎉

❤️ A special thank you to Natalia & Vlad for their fantastic coaching, encouragement, and ongoing support!

Our Halloween Dance Party is a social dance party for dancers of all sorts, and everyone is welcome. Expect drinks, an amazing atmosphere and great people, plus spooky décor and great music to keep you on the floor.

Evolution DanceSport Championship 2026 - Medals, Finals and a QuickSteps Family Team! 🏆💃🕺

On 10 October 2026, the Evolution DanceSport Championship 2026 took place in Melbourne, Victoria - and QuickSteps Dance Studio arrived with quite a team!

Representing our studio was almost the entire Bond family - Marissa, Allan and their daughter Sage - together with Kaye Best and Blair Jiang. Our teaching team was represented by Natalia and Vlad Litvinov.

And judging by the results, we definitely didn’t travel to Melbourne just for sightseeing. 😄

Sage had a fantastic result across two styles:
Samba & Cha Cha - 3rd place
Waltz & Quickstep - 2nd place

Kaye Best added several great results to her collection:
Coach/Student Master 3 Latin - Samba 5th place, Cha Cha 3rd place
Pro/Student Master 3 Latin - Samba 3rd place, Cha Cha 3rd place, Rumba 3rd place

Allan Bond competed in Pro/Student Master 1:
Foxtrot - 3rd place
Quickstep - 3rd place

Marissa Bond competed in Coach/Student Ballroom Master 1 - three events and three finals!

And Blair Jiang competed across several categories - Coach/Student Adult Latin, Pro/Student Adult Latin and Pro/Am Adult Latin - and made the final in every single one of them. That’s consistency!

So the QuickSteps team returned home not only with great memories, but also with slightly heavier luggage - medals do have weight, after all. 😄🏅

A huge congratulations to all of our competitors on their fantastic performances, new finals, new medals and another valuable competition experience!

And a big thank you to Natalia and Vlad for their support, preparation and work on the dance floor.

🏆 Oceania DanceSport Championship 2026 – Sydney, NSW 🏆

Or... how dance teachers relax after work. 😉
There are many ways to spend your time off.
You can stay home and relax in front of the TV.
You can lie on a sandy beach, take a peaceful walk through the park or enjoy a night at a concert.

Or...

You can pack your dance costumes and shoes into a suitcase, fly to Sydney and enter a Professional DanceSport competition.

Because apparently, when you spend the whole week dancing...
The best way to relax is to dance some more. 💃🕺 And what an atmosphere to do it in!

A major DanceSport Championship is so much more than just a competition. It is an elegant celebration of dance. The ballroom fills with dancers, coaches and legends of the DanceSport world.

Fantastic music plays throughout the evening. Ladies arrive in spectacular gowns. Gentlemen put on their tuxedos.

Waiters move between beautifully dressed tables serving fine food and w**e, while some of the finest couples from Australia and around the world take to the floor.

And this year, the audience was treated to something particularly special — several spectacular show performances by World Champions in Latin Show Dance.

This was the atmosphere our QuickSteps teachers Kevin & Jam and Alex & Natalia stepped into as they travelled to Sydney to represent QuickSteps and compete in the Professional divisions of the Oceania DanceSport Championship 2026.

And we are very proud to congratulate them on fantastic results! 🏆

Huge congratulations to both couples! ❤️

After countless hours spent teaching, coaching and helping their students become better dancers, it is wonderful to see our teachers step onto the competition floor themselves and continue doing what they love.

Because a great dance teacher never really stops being a dancer.

They continue training.
They continue learning.
They continue challenging themselves.

And, occasionally...

This is what they call a weekend off. 😉

But here's a question for you:

You don't have to be a professional dancer to experience the excitement of DanceSport. There are opportunities for students to compete together with their teachers too.

You might be surprised by the answer.

Maybe the next suitcase being packed with dance shoes and costumes for a competition...
