Our friendly, qualified staff are passionate about teaching children to develop the necessary skills and confidence they need to be safe in and around the water. Rackley Swimming has something for everyone, with comfortable climate-controlled facilities – including indoor and outdoor heated pools, warm showers and versatile changing facilities, as well as easily accessible viewing areas. Our learn-to-swim program with direct pathways and opportunities into squad and club swimming, is open to every child, no matter their age or ability. Rackley Swimming has several conveniently located swim schools in South East Queensland, and our friendly staff are passionate about teaching children to develop the necessary skills and confidence they need to be safer in and around the water. Being able to swim presents the ability to enjoy everything the Australian lifestyle has to offer. Summers spent at the beach, weekends at the pool or family holidays by the water - there is so much to enjoy. Our nurturing instructors love to celebrate every swimming achievement; no matter how small — it’s these special moments that help build safer, stronger and healthier kids. You can be confident your child is in experienced, professional hands, armed with the knowledge that Rackley Swimming has taught well over 1 million Queenslanders to swim over the past 20 years. The best way to experience a swim lesson is to try one of our free lessons - Baby Splash (2-6 months), Come & Try (6 months- 3 years) or Swim Safety Check (3 years +).

Water is part of so many of our favourite family moments.
The excitement of jumping in. The laughter that comes with a big splash. Learning something new. Watching grandparents, siblings and parents share the water together.
But before children can confidently enjoy those moments, they need the skills to feel comfortable and capable in the water.

That’s where the journey begins.

Swimming lessons give children the opportunity to build confidence, develop essential water safety skills and gradually become more independent in the water.

And every child’s journey looks different.

Some will swim for fun.
Some will swim for fitness.
Some will swim for life.
And some might discover a love of racing.
There’s no single destination.

What matters is giving every child the opportunity to start their journey and build skills they can carry with them for life.

BORN TO FLOAT 💙💦

There’s a moment when a child realises they can trust the water.
Maybe it starts with being supported.
Then a little less support.
Then suddenly, they’re floating on their own.

It might look like a simple milestone, but learning to float is an important part of becoming comfortable and capable in the water.

It teaches children to relax, control their breathing and understand how their body moves in the water. And perhaps most importantly, it can help build the confidence to stay calm and keep learning.

Like every part of the swimming journey, it takes time. Some children find it easy straight away, while others need a little more encouragement and repetition. There’s no rush.

Every float, every kick and every attempt is another step towards greater water confidence and lifelong water safety.

Because sometimes the biggest progress happens when a child simply learns to trust themselves.
