Meet Selena!
We asked Selena a few questions so you can get to know one of our long time Breathe family members a little bit better:
🌿 What made you want to become a Pilates instructor?
I’ve always loved movement and been fascinated by what the human body is capable of. Pilates had a huge impact on how I felt in my own body. The more I practised, the more I realised there was always something new to learn and explore.
Experiencing those benefits inspired me to become a teacher. I wanted to help others feel stronger, more confident, and more connected to their bodies.
🌿 What’s your favourite class to teach and why?
My favourite classes to teach are Classical Mat Pilates classes. I love the simplicity and challenge of the mat work, and how the original sequence develops strength, control, mobility, and coordination. It’s incredibly rewarding to see clients progress and discover just how strong they really are.
🌿 What’s one wellness habit you can’t live without?
Going to bed on time! As someone who teaches early mornings and loves to stay active, I’ve learned that protecting my sleep is non-negotiable. A good night’s sleep helps me feel stronger, think more clearly, and show up as the best version of myself for my family, clients and myself.
