*The ZIFA Central Region Division One Soccer League Window Period's Length, Good News In The Ears Of Paramount United Football Club*
ZIFA Central Region Division One Soccer League authorities have sent communiques to all clubs advising them of the duration of the window period.
According to the communiques, the first half of the season ends on 20 March and resumes on 7 May 2022.
The time appears long but l think Paramount United Football Club is happy with it because their chips were down as they approached the end of the first half of the season.
The long period will help them to fine tune their grey areas. For instance, Paramount seriously lacks depth between the posts.
They only have Vincent Munyaradzi and Ronnie Hlupo as good goal minders. At one time both goalies sustained injuries and the technical staff was forced to field a less injured goalie in Hlupo.
The Gokwe outfit also lacks depth in all areas, the defense, the mid and the front.
Paramount United has only twenty three active players excluding Custom Mudhori Kufaigore, Takunda Makaki and Joseph Mashame who went agonisingly AWOL sometime back.
Technically, Paramount has six slots left for players to register. Three for players below twenty and the other three for players above twenty. Each team in Central Division One League registers a maximum of thirty players and the deadline for registration is 30 March 2022. Paramount has thus no time to waste.
There are players from Gweru who will be coming in to train with the Kangaroos. Then there are five players from Nembudziya who will be joining the team as well.
There is also a good goalkeeper who playing for a central division one club who will be joining the club if he is cleared by his current club.
Of serious concern is player discipline, commitment and dedication that must be a threshold upon registering new players at Paramount this time.
