In Loving Memory of Abubakar Kazembe

It is with heavy hearts that we received information on the passing of Abubakar Kazembe, who left us on March 21, 2026, at the young age of 26.
Abubakar spent six formative years 2013-2019 at the Aces Youth Soccer Academy (AYSA), where he truly blossomed into a high-prospect player. Known for his technical skill and focus on the pitch, he reached a pinnacle in his youth career during the 2016 season, where he was honored with the U16s ‘Most Disciplined Player Award.’
At the Academy, he was recognised for his dedication to the sport and his potential to reach the highest levels of the game. While the bright promise of his academy years faced significant challenges in his later life, we choose to remember the disciplined, talented young man who graced the football field with such hope. His journey serves as a reminder of both the brilliance of youth and the complexities of life’s path.
AYSA joins the Kazembe family in mourning Abubakar. We choose to remember the athlete who showed us such discipline and promise. May his soul find the peace that eluded him in recent years."
