This year's Mavericks U13 Cricket Tournament will be the 4th annual tournament (October/November 2026) and will be bigger and better than ever before. We are now inviting teams to request formal invitations by completing this Google Form: https://forms.gle/37eLxt5mofg6yYv4A

This form can be completed on a computer or on a smartphone and should take about 2 minutes to complete.

The form will be available online until 31 July 2026. Registrations will be closed on 15 September 2026. Payment will secure your registration, which will be on a first come, first served basis.

New entrants Minecraft Sixers ended St Aidans ' 2-year dominance having won the inaugural 2023 edition and the 2024 edition. St. Aidans were favourites to win having taken 6 for 24 in by the 5th over. Minecraft produced a batting masterclass adding 66 for the loss of 3 setting St Aidans 90 to win. St Aidans fell short by 12 runs in the end.

Day 1 comes to an end with mini-league matches complete for 3 groups

Having lost 3½ hours due to wet wicket, we determined a loss of 5 overs and 6 overs per game at the Hospital and Rhodes Field respectively.

Excited to learn that Andy Tabvura who has featured in the 1st and 2nd Mavericks U13 Cricket tournaments is shining at Gladiators Cricket Club Zimbabwe! We will feature Dillon Nyamhuri in our next post.

A good bowling performance led by young Andy Tabvura gave Gladiators 2 a comfortable 9 wicket victory over Old Hararians 2❤️💙

Yesterday we came across the Head Coach of Rwanda Cricket Women, Leonard Nhamburo, at St. George's in Harare and we couldn't pass up the chance to present him with our 2023 tournament memorabilia proudly sponsored by Carhub Vehicle Hire.

We recognize the hard yards the former Zimbabwe Cricket Women Coach and Namibia Women Coach is putting in Rwanda and we are always standing ready to learn from his wealth of experience.
