🎾 Growing the game from the grassroots up! 🌟 Bulawayo Athletic Club came alive as Baseline Tennis Academy hosted an incredible Tennis Zimbabwe Junior Tennis Initiative (JTI) clinic!

It was an action-packed weekend filled with high energy, development drills, and smiling faces as Bulawayo’s youngest talents took to the courts to sharpen their skills.

A massive thank you to all the young players, supportive parents, and dedicated coaches who made this event a smash success. The future of Zimbabwean tennis is bright! 🇿🇼🏆

Congratulations to Team Zimbabwe on a strong performance at the World Tennis/CAT Southern African Junior Teams Competition for 12 & Under in Mozambique! 🇲🇿

Zimbabwe was represented by:
🇿🇼 Tawonashe Danda🇿🇼 Liam Kabasa🇿🇼 Anopaishe Danda🎾 Coach/Captain: Sharon Ndlovu

After successfully progressing through the group stages, the boys continued their impressive campaign into the knockout rounds:

🎾 Quarterfinals:🇿🇼 Zimbabwe 3–0 Eswatini 🇸🇿

🎾 Semifinals:🇿🇼 Zimbabwe 0–3 South Africa 🇿🇦

🥉 3rd Place Playoff:
🇿🇼 Zimbabwe 3–0 Namibia 🇳🇦

The victory over Namibia secured 3rd place and a bronze medal for Zimbabwe in the Southern African competition. 🥉🇿🇼

🎾🇿🇼 ZIMBABWE U12 GIRLS QUALIFY FOR CONTINENTAL FINALS! 🌍👏

A fantastic performance from Team Zimbabwe at the World Tennis/CAT Southern African Junior Teams Competition for 12 & Under in Mozambique! 🇲🇿

Zimbabwe was represented by:
🇿🇼 Alexander Matani🇿🇼 Danica Tverdon🇿🇼 Mia Kaliofasi🎾 Coach/Captain: Sharon Ndlovu

After successfully progressing through the group stages, the Zimbabwean girls produced an impressive run through the competition:

🎾 Quarterfinals:🇿🇼 Zimbabwe 3–0 Mauritius 🇲🇺

🎾 Semifinals:🇿🇼 Zimbabwe 2–1 Angola 🇦🇴

🥈 Final:The girls battled hard in the final, narrowly going down 1–2 to finish as Southern African runners-up.

Most importantly, their outstanding performance secured qualification for the Continental Finals! 🌍🇿🇼

Congratulations to Zimbabwe’s Courtney Lock and his South African partner, Philip Henning on claiming the M25 Idanha-a-Nova doubles title in Portugal!

The fourth-seeded African duo produced an outstanding week of tennis, finishing the tournament without dropping a set. 💪🎾
