Our U9 registered a resounding win vs Mhizha Primary School on Saturday. Losing the toss, Captain Harry Chivunga's side was sent in to bowl first. Mhizha scored 84/3 in their 15 overs and Falcons replied with 86 for the loss of 1.

Our second game couldn't proceed due to time constraints caused by a late start owing to conditions existing on the ground.

U11 to U17 games we abandoned due to a wet pitch. These age groups had training spanning batting and fielding. We also conducted a keeping class for our 3 wicketkeepers.

The curtain on our 6-week matches streak comes down tomorrow, heralding the end of first term schools' holiday, as we aim to cap it off in style hosting St Aidans Primary School, Glenview Development, Mhizha Primary School and Vito 43 Cricket Academy.

We were so fortunate to share the field with some esteemed teams such as Shamva Cricket Junior Academy, Crusaders Cricket Academy, Mhizha Primary School, Glenview Development and new kids on the block Vito 43 Cricket Academy.

The moment Jack Chikono reached his fluent, quickfire 5️⃣0️⃣ and retired not out from just 47 balls during the T20 vs Crusaders U13 with a well-timed drive past cover yesterday. Jack opened the batting for U13s having played 2 U11 games on the trot.

Jack has been opening for all age groups up to U13 since he was just 7! Our Fearless Fledgling Falcons U7 and U9 Programmes focus on solid cricket skills and pathway readiness for junior cricket.

Everybody loves a great cricket weekend and we have just that coming up on Saturday 2 May 2026 when we meet Crusaders Cricket Academy and 43 Cricket Academy at Alexandra Sports Club - Harare, Zimbabwe.

We are honored to give 43 Cricket Academy, led by Eagles opener, Lavert Masunda, their debut matches. We are very excited for them as they embark on this journey and we would like to wish them all the best.

Crusaders are ni strangers to us as we have squared off several times; the last time having been in July 2025. It is one of the teams we share values of inclusive participation, fairness and mutual respect for the benefit of cricket development.

Another full day in the sun at Alexandra Sports Club - Harare, Zimbabwe yesterday as we hosted Shamva Cricket Junior Academy.

We started almost two hours behind schedule but coaches on both sides ensured we finished on time to enable our visitors to travel back to Shamva on time.

The visitors won the U9 match by 8 wickets after we made 50/6 in our 10 overs and they replied 53/2 in 8.2 overs. We went on to win the U11 match extending our winning streak🔥🔥 from last week but lost our remaining U13 and U17 fixtures.

Next Saturday we face Crusaders Cricket Academy and 43 Cricket Academy for U9, U11, U13 and U17 matches at Alexandra Sports Club starting at 7.45am.

We kicked off our first set of games for 2026 this past Saturday preluded by rigorous practice and several center-wicket practices between February and March.

Our two Under 9 teams lost both their respective matches to Glenview Development U9 and Mhizha Primary School U9. Great energy on the field, loads of literal "head-bumps"🤣🤣🤣, few runs off the bat and plenty of extras - which are all typical of Under 9 cricket😁😁😅😅

Falcons Cricket Academy U11 and Falcons Cricket U13 won their games against Glenview Development U11 and U13 respectively. Great takeaways from both games to build on for our next fixtures and quite a few areas requiring attention.

In the last quarter of 2025, we made a decision to expand our development cricket beyond the Under 13 level and our project started off in earnest in February/March 2026 welcoming back our previous U13 graduates into the fold. This project consists of children aged 13 to 16 years old with the bulk of them being between 13 and 14. This team fought hard but were outclassed by a polished Glenview Development side. It was a great game with glimpses of excellence in several departments i.e. batting, fielding, bowling, game management etc

This Saturday we are squaring off against Shamva Junior Cricket Academy U9/11/13/17 teams.
