*From Chitungwiza's Zengeza Busters to Villarreal CF, Spain*

The Chitungwiza Junior Football Development League (CJFDL) proudly celebrates one of its own, Leon Mukono, a talented product of Zengeza Busters Football Academy, an affiliate of the CJFDL, who has earned a life-changing opportunity with Spanish giants Villarreal CF.

Leon was selected by Villarreal CF Academy coaches during a recent three-day talent identification camp held at Morris Depot Grounds in Harare. The camp was organised through a partnership between Villarreal CF and Athletes Sphere Global Academy.

His outstanding performances impressed Villarreal Academy coaches Carlos Ortiz and Vicky Yarnold, resulting in an invitation to travel to Spain for the official Villarreal tournament and further football development opportunities.

Leon will join other talented young footballers from different countries as part of Villarreal's international talent development programme, providing him with a platform to showcase his abilities within one of Spain's renowned youth development systems.

His achievement is a testament to the quality of grassroots football development taking place in Chitungwiza through academies such as Zengeza Busters and the Chitungwiza Junior Football Development League.

As part of efforts to safeguard the welfare of young athletes, Mr Richard Barura, representing Bonvie, today presented various medical aid schemes that can assist Chitungwiza Junior Football Development League (CJFDL) academies in securing affordable healthcare cover for players.

The presentation comes at a critical time as the league has recently experienced a series of player injuries during matches, highlighting the importance of adequate medical support and insurance protection for young footballers.

Mr Barura outlined flexible medical aid options designed to provide access to quality healthcare, ensuring that players receive prompt medical attention when injuries occur both on and off the field.

All affiliated clubs are encouraged to send their official representatives as important matters affecting the smooth running and development of the league will be discussed.
