STATEMENT BY CHITUNGWIZA JUNIOR FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT LEAGUE (CJFDL)
CJFDL CONDEMNS ALLEGED VIOLENT CONDUCT TOWARDS MATCH OFFICIAL
The Chitungwiza Junior Football Development League (CJFDL) has taken note of the alleged incident involving violent conduct towards a match referee during the match between FNF Young Stars and CSPRO, played at Riverton School in Stoneridge.
The League takes such allegations seriously and is currently awaiting the official match referee's report before instituting the necessary investigations and taking appropriate action in accordance with the League's rules and regulations.
CJFDL strongly condemns all forms of violence and misconduct directed towards referees, players, coaches and other participants in the game.
All affiliated academies, players, coaches, officials and supporters are urged to exercise restraint and uphold the principles of discipline, respect and fair play at all times.
The football pitch must remain a safe environment for players, referees, coaches and the wider community. Violence has no place in football, particularly in junior football development, where the focus should be on nurturing talent, promoting positive values and building responsible young people.
CJFDL remains committed to promoting a culture of Respect, Discipline, Fair Play and Zero Tolerance for Violence.
