After just turning 16 years old I played a national League game for BAC against Queens Sports Club. And after watching Heath Streak on TV I was now on the same field as him and will never forget how scared I was when he came back for a spell. Scared yet privileged to be playing with one of the greatest bowlers of all time. As a fast bowler myself it’s amazing the bond that can be create. Over the years playing with and against Streaky will be memories that I will never forget. His help and advice when I was playing was nothing but proof of his superior knowledge when it came to fast bowling. Once we both finished playing we started running coaching clinics which were some of the best memories. The laughs during our coaching times were priceless. No matter where I was in the world I could always ask Streaky for advice and pick his brain. If I needed a video or a drill he always made the effort to help. He impacted so many lives and really impacted mine as a bowler and now a coach. Only a month ago did I get to sit with him and pick his brain and have a laugh for the last time. Will miss these chats and banter of having a go at the batters. Gone too soon, But never forgotten. Until we meet again Streaky. My condolences go out to Mr and Mrs Streak and family, Nadine Streak and their amazing children.
