Borrowdale Brooke Golf Estate Zimbabwe's premium lifestyle and golf estate in the heart of Borrowdale Brooke Borrowdale Brooke, the brainchild of Lonrho Construction, was started in 1996.

Imagine living in an idyllic park-like setting where you feel you are permanently on holiday. Fresh air, tranquillity, friendly neighbours, 24hr security and a magnificent golf course. The Estate comprises 252 hectares of tranquil landscape sub-divided into 665 stands. There are a variety of housing designs on The Estate with basic building guidelines in place to ensure an overall standard of aest

hetics, and safety standards of the City of Harare are adhered to. The magnificent 18-hole golf course was designed and built by Peter Matkovich of Matkovich and Hayes, in consultation with Nick Price, to United States Golf Association standards. Borrowdale Brooke Golf Club was opened by Nick Price on 27th November 1998. The course has developed beautifully with many big trees and 209 bird species have been recorded on the course and in the gardens on The Estate. The Brooke is the ideal, safe environment to bring up a family in.

Here’s some of the closing action of the most fantastic female golf at The Brooke as we hosted our first-ever dedicated Ladies Club Championship! 🌹🏌️‍♀️ A huge congratulations to all 52 ladies who competed over 36 holes across two days of championship golf.

A heartfelt thank you to our Ladies Captain Rosie Gaisford and Vice Captain Gloria Mutekwa, our staff and volunteers, Beefy & his greens team, Econet, and ProBottlers Zimbabwe for their support in making the weekend so memorable. 🙏🙏

Most importantly, thank you to all the ladies who entered and supported the Championship. The future of ladies' golf at The Brooke is looking brighter than ever!

Winter birding on the estate just got a lot more interesting. The Swallow-tailed Bee-eater is currently enjoying its peak season here in Harare’s woodlands. Look out for that signature bright yellow throat and the distinct blue throat; they are unmistakable once you spot them perched on a low branch! 😍
