MUNGWI HOTSPURS FC HOSTS COLOURFUL 2025/26 END OF THE SEASON AWARDS
We successfully hosted our 2025/26 end of season awards ceremony in a colourful event held at Hunters Den in Mungwi.
The event was attend by Mr. Chikonde Mbalazi, the FAZ Northern Province Chairman as the guest of honour who attended in the company of the club’s executive committee led by Zombe Sinyangwe the club acting ceo, also present at the occasion were Madam Kaboshe the acting Chairperson Mr. Mwape Reagan committee member and Technical Director Mr Humprey Nkole.
The ceremony was organised to recognise and reward the club’s most outstanding performers during the 2025/26 football season.
FAZ Northern Division One top scorer Joseph Malata walked away with player of the season and a cash prize of K400 sponsored by Hunters Den after an impressive season in front of goal with 21 goals. The Most Valuable Player award went to Kapekele Douglas, who received K200 for his outstanding contribution to the team.
Meanwhile, Mulenga Lawrence was named the Most Disciplined Player, while the Most Improved Player award was presented to Jimmy Silwamba for his remarkable progress throughout the season.
Chairman Mbalazi also in his capacity awarded the duo of the famous supporters called Siliza of Mungwi with a K250, for their commitment and support of all Mungwi teams. He thanked other support group ba Kansele and urged them to remain peaceful.
He thanked Hunters Den and Transdeco Logistics and Transport Services for their support to the team and urged others to come on board for the team and all Mungwi football teams..
Speaking during the vote of thanks, Mr. Mwape called on the Mungwi community and football supporters to come on board and support the team as it continues to grow and compete at a higher level.
