Nangoma Football Club has taken note of the various views shared following the announcement of open trials.
As a Division One club, player recruitment is a structured and deliberate process, guided by the technical team and management.
Open trials form one component of this process and are not a replacement for scouting, match observation, or targeted recruitment of active league players.
The purpose of the trials is to expand the talent pool, particularly by identifying disciplined, competitive, and young players who may not currently be visible within mainstream league football. This approach is standard practice in football development and aligns with the clubโs long-term vision.
Let it be clearly stated that no player will be selected solely on the basis of trial participation. Final decisions will be determined by technical ability, physical readiness, tactical understanding, discipline, and character, as assessed by the clubโs established technical structures.
The club remains committed to strengthening the squad in a responsible and competitive manner. While we value constructive engagement from our supporters and stakeholders, strategic and operational football decisions remain the sole mandate of management and the technical team.
Management further wishes to reiterate that the club remains competitive despite this season proving to be a challenging one, marked by several operational and financial difficulties.
Notwithstanding these challenges, the team continues to demonstrate resilience, commitment, and determination to compete at the required level, and management remains fully focused on stabilizing operations and strengthening the club moving forward.
We thank our supporters for their continued passion, patience, and commitment as we collectively work toward building a strong, disciplined, and sustainable Nangoma Football Club.
