Yamoto celebrates a remarkable life, a true trailblazer and matriarch not only of our football team but everyone and everything that she touched, Christine Musenga Joyce Malila Mulundika - Mama Mulundika. She stood out as a woman of strength, wisdom, and unparalleled commitment in an establishment that was dominated by men.

Virtually the only lady among men, she was no ordinary participant. Mama Mulundika’s journey was defined by resilience, leadership, and a fierce dedication to the game. As one of the trustees of City of Lusaka, she etched her legacy into the very fabric of our team and organisation, proving time and again that her presence was not just valued but essential to our success.

Her warmth and motherly guidance were the glue that held us together during challenging times. She made decisions with a clarity of purpose and carried herself with a grace that inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines, providing counsel, or ensuring that our team’s future was secure, Mama Mulundika was a beacon of hope and an example of unwavering determination.

We will forever cherish her contributions to our club, her passion for football, and her unwavering belief in the power of teamwork. As we unveiled her tombstone and celebrated her legacy, we pledged to carry forward her vision and commitment to excellence in every step of our journey.

Continue to rest in eternal peace, Mama Mulundika. You were more than a trustee—you were the heart and soul of Yamoto. Your memory will inspire us always.
