We are grateful for his leadership, dedication, and contribution to the club during his time with us. While we are saddened to see him leave, we are proud to see him take on this important role in Zambian football.

MATCH REPORT: Napsa Stars secured their place in the Zambia Premier League after recording a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Mutondo Stars at Reiz Arena, a result that confirmed the Pensioners’ survival and brought relief to the Tangala faithful.

In a move aimed at rallying support for the team, Napsa Stars opened the gates to spectators, allowing free entry as supporters turned up to back the club in one of its biggest matches of the season.

The match started at a high tempo, with the visitors showing attacking intent from the opening whistle. Mutondo Stars created several chances in the early stages but failed to capitalize due to poor finishing in front of goal.

Napsa Stars struggled to find rhythm in the opening half and found themselves under pressure for long periods. However, they remained disciplined defensively and managed to contain the young Mutondo side, with the teams heading into halftime level at 0–0.

At the break, Head Coach Tennant Chilumba made a tactical double substitution, introducing Selisho Bwalya and Christopher Bwalya for Tresor Ilunga and Emarson Kabwe in a bid to change the momentum.
Further changes followed as Evans Kayombo Jr replaced Godfrey Binga in the 52nd minute, while Jimmy Mukeya came on for Kenneth Kasanga three minutes later.

The breakthrough finally arrived in the 68th minute. After sustained pressure and a determined second-half performance, Mathews Tolopa found the decisive goal, finishing off a well-worked move from a Selisho Bwalya assist and sending the home crowd into wild celebrations.

Napsa Stars dug deep in the closing stages, and the lone goal proved enough to seal a priceless victory and preserve their top-flight status.

The Pensioners completed the season with 36 points, finishing in 15th position on the Zambia Premier League table.

Speaking after the match, Head Coach Tennant Chilumba expressed relief after achieving the season's objective.

β€œIt was a tough season. I came in when the team was in a dangerous position and the goal was to survive relegation,” he said.

A season of pressure, struggle, and resilience ended with survival secured.
