🎾 Thank You, Love-40!

Last weekend, 21st to 23rd August, the Love-40 Top 8 Junior Tennis Championships wrapped up at Ndola Tennis Club. And what a weekend it was — great games, amazing hospitality, and so much fun.

But the biggest win from Love-40 isn’t on the scoreboard.
It’s the bonds that are created. The lifelong friendships. The memories.

This year was even more special because all the kids were together in one place, learning, laughing, and growing as one tennis family.

Thank you Love-40 for sharing your love for tennis with Zambia, and for giving our juniors an experience they’ll never forget.

🇿🇲 YULA ULENDO FLYING THE ZAMBIAN FLAG IN KENYA 🎾

Zambia’s Yula Ulendo has continued to gain valuable international experience at the two-leg WT-CAT 14 & Under Circuit in Kenya.

Seeded fourth in the girls’ singles during the first leg, Yula produced a strong performance to finish sixth overall.

She defeated Kenya’s Elsa Nafula Wafula 6–1, 6–0 before narrowly losing to Imani Kavuisya of Kenya 7–5, 1–6, [10–4]. In the positional playoffs, Yula recorded an impressive 6–2, 6–3 victory over Zimbabwe’s Danica Tverdon before losing to Kenya’s H. Kendi Brook in the fifth-place match.

In doubles, Yula partnered Karlien Olivia Botha of South Africa. The pair defeated Tanzania’s Gracous Godlove Shayo and Janeth Silvery Massawe 6–3, 6–2 before bowing out to the top-seeded Kenyan pair of B. Ogamba and Paula Ouko 6–3, 6–3 in the quarterfinals.

Yula carried her strong form into the second leg, once again competing as the fourth seed. She opened her campaign with a commanding 6–1, 6–2 victory over Kenya’s Siya Karan Soni.

In the quarterfinals, Yula pushed Imani Kavuisya to another fiercely contested three-set encounter before going down 6–0, 6–7(7), [10–5]. She now continues her campaign in the 5th–8th position playoffs.

Yula is also partnering Zimbabwe’s Danica Tverdon in the second-leg doubles competition, where the pair is seeded second.

The Zambia Tennis Association congratulates Yula on her determined performances and wishes her the very best as she completes the second leg. Every international match provides valuable experience and contributes to her continued growth and development.

This year, Love-40, based in Dallas Texas, has poured so much into our tennis community and we want to say THANK YOU.

2026 Highlights:
- 11th July: Coaches Interaction at Lusaka Tennis Club
- 8th August: : Coaches Interaction at Nkana Tennis Club
- 21st to 23rd August : The Love-40 Top 8 Junior Tennis Championships, 4th Edition at Ndola Tennis Club

And over the years, Love-40 has also donated rackets, strings, tennis balls, attire and equipment to Mufulira Tennis Club and Kantanshi Tennis Clubs.

What a fantastic 3 days at The Love 40 Top 8 Junior Tennis Championships!

From 21st to 23rd August, our young champions gave it their all on court. And thanks to Coca-Cola Beverages, they stayed hydrated and refreshed every step of the way.

When the heat turned up, our players were able to quench their thirst with your amazing range of beverages. That extra boost kept them focused, energized, and smiling.

Kitted in T-barm t-shirts, the madalas battled it out in an exciting knockout competition with randomly picked partners. No seedings. No pressure. Just pure fun and serious tennis 🔥
