Congratulations to His Excellency the President-Elect
On behalf of the Handball Association of Zambia, and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Hakainde Hichilema on his re-election as President of the Republic of Zambia.
This renewed mandate is a reflection of the confidence and trust that the people of Zambia have placed in your leadership. We commend your continued commitment to national development, youth empowerment, and the advancement of sport as an important tool for unity and national pride.
Your previous term saw significant milestones for handball in Zambia, including the countryโs successful hosting of the 2026 Menโs IHF Trophy, a moment that placed Zambian handball firmly on the continental map. We are encouraged by the opportunity to build on that momentum as we prepare to host the IHF Womenโs Senior Trophy Zone VI Africa Championship this September at OYDC, Lusaka.
As the Handball Association of Zambia, we look forward to continued collaboration with Government, sports federations, development partners and the private sector in strengthening handball at grassroots and high-performance levels alike, and in creating sustainable opportunities for young athletes across the country.
We wish Your Excellency wisdom, good health, and continued success as you lead our great nation.
