Indeni Football Club Wishes Moffat Ngambi All the Best

Indeni Football Club would like to wish our young former player, Moffat Ngambi, all the very best as he begins a new chapter of his football career with Trident FC.

Moffat joined the Indeni senior team in 2024 after progressing through our youth setup Young Indeni, marking an important step in his development as a footballer. His journey is a reflection of the pathway that exists within the Indeni Football Club family, from the youth ranks to the senior team.

During his time with the Oilmen, Moffat showed commitment, discipline and a strong desire to develop his game. He made valuable contributions to the team and continued to grow both as a player and as a young professional.

As a club, we sincerely appreciate the service, dedication and commitment Moffat rendered to Indeni Football Club. We also celebrate the personal milestones and achievements he attained during his time with the Oilmen.

While we are sad to see one of our own leave, we are equally proud to see Moffat take on a new challenge and continue his football journey.

FAZ U20 AFCON DIARY: Mutapa Unveils 32-Member Squad for AFCON Qualification Tournament

The Zambia Under-20 Men’s National Team will commence their preparations for the TotalEnergies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations | COSAFA Qualifier Mauritius 2026 with coach Perry Mutapa summoning 32 players for camp.

Mutapa has summoned Netherlands based Fanwell Tembo who is on the books of Alphence Racing Club and Tumelo Mununga of CD Leganes in Spain among the promising starlets that he hopes to assess before heading to Mauritius.

Others are South Africa based Sipho Muntanga who stars for Randburg FC and former under-17 star Lineker Mbesuma from Roan United.

After the initial assessment camp, the technical bench will incorporate some of the top performing players from the Under-17 squad that were at the Qatar FIFA World Cup.

Apart from opening the door for some foreign based starlets, Mutapa has drafted some promising lads from the local pool to ensure that he builds a winning side.

The under-20 camp will be an opportunity for the technical bench to narrow down their options ahead of the Cosafa which will run from 18-27 September.

Top two teams at the tournament will qualify to the Ghana 2027 AFCON which will be a passage to the FIFA World Cup.
Zambia is in Group C alongside Malawi, Botswana and Comoros.

This morning’s fixture will be the Oilmen’s fourth pre-season test, as preparations continue ahead of the 2026 ZPL National Transitional League Season.

Indeni have enjoyed an impressive start to their pre-season campaign, scoring 18 goals in their opening three matches while conceding just one goal.

Forward Gilbert Bwembya has been the standout performer in front of goal so far, leading the Oilmen’s scoring charts with 6 goals in the pre-season campaign.

Today’s encounter presents a much bigger test for the Oilmen against Super League side NAPSA Stars FC and it will provide another important opportunity for the technical team to assess the squad as preparations continue.

The Oilmen kicked off their 2026 pre-season campaign on a high, registering two convincing victories over elite youth side Modern Skills Academy, who compete in the same zone as our youth side Young Indeni FC.

The two sides played two separate friendly matches at Indeni Sports Complex, giving the Oilmen an opportunity to assess the squad, build match fitness and give valuable minutes to several young players.

Indeni FC started the first encounter brightly and quickly took control of proceedings.

Gilbert Bwembya opened the scoring in the 7th minute, before completing his brace in the 28th minute, with both goals set up by Titus Bwalya.

Geoffrey Limbani added a third in the 61st minute, while Jonathan Munalula rounded off the scoring in the 76th minute as the Oilmen secured a comfortable 4–0 victory.

π’π„π‚πŽππƒ πŒπ€π“π‚π‡ | πŸ“β€“πŸŽ

The second encounter saw the Oilmen take a little longer to settle into their rhythm, with several players from the youth setup also given an opportunity to feature.

Once the Oilmen found their rhythm, the goals followed.

Jonathan Munalula opened the scoring in the 31st minute and a well taken free kick from a new Indeni Trainee in the 56th minute to register the second of goal of the second match.

Young Indeni product Mapalo Banda then got his name on the scoresheet in the 60th minute, before Salifyanji Kalebwe added a fourth in the 68th minute.

Joshua Hakaloba completed the scoring in the 70th minute, as Indeni FC wrapped up the second friendly with a convincing 5–0 victory.

Across the two matches, the Oilmen scored nine goals without conceding.

It was an encouraging opening to the pre-season campaign, with the technical bench able to assess different combinations, introduce young talent and begin building the fitness and sharpness required ahead of the upcoming 2026 ZPL Men’s Transitional Division season.

The Oilmen will continue with their pre-season programme, with more friendly matches lined up as preparations intensify.

The 2026 ZPL Men’s Transitional Division kicks off on the 26th September 2026, with Indeni FC set to begin their campaign at home against β€œChingalika” Kitwe United FC at Indeni Sports Complex.

After kick starting our 2026 pre season preparations on 7th August at Indeni Sports Complex the β€œOilmen”Indeni Football Club, are back in action this morning as we host Modern Skills Academy in our first pre season friendly match.

The Oilmen have opted to face a youthful and promising Modern Skills Academy side that has enjoyed an impressive pre season campaign so far. The young side has tested itself against several Premier League teams, including Roan United FC, Mutondo FC, Nchanga FC, Kabwe Warriors FC and Nkwazi FC.

From the matches played, Modern Skills Academy has recorded a good run of results and continues to build towards the 2026 Transitional League Season.

We have been placed in the Northern Zone for the 2026 ZPL Men’s National Division Transitional League.

The transitional league is set to kick off on 12 September 2026 and will run up to December 2026.
