THE BATTLE FOR DUNDU: BULYAMBEBA VS DUNDUMWEZI
This Sunday, the “jungle” will roar as Bulyambeba FC host neighbours Dundumwezi FC in the much-hyped 'Battle in the Jungle!'
For once, Dundumwezi folks are not gathering to vote but to “vote with their boots!” Bulyambeba, new to Division Three, have impressed with a draw against Changa Changa and a win over Chidi United. They’re ready to prove they came to compete, not just participate.
Adding spice, four ex-Dundumwezi stars: Ceasor Siabbwizu, Muchimba Zyunge, Bitram Sianduwa, and Wyck Siamusinza now play for Bulyambeba. Dundumwezi, ever jovial, said they’re “spreading football democracy,” not losing players.
Dundumwezi, meanwhile, are in form after a 4–1 win over Chawila United and a 1–1 draw with Changa Changa. Their fans, known to be louder than the referee, are ready to invade Bulyambeba with chants, drums, and jokes.
It’s rural football at its best: rivalry, laughter, and passion. Will Dundumwezi grab all three “votes,” or will Bulyambeba defend their turf? This Sunday, the only votes will be counted in goals!
