With rain on the horizon and the wind picking up it made for some hard racing. We missed the main breakaway of the day which meant that we were left to chase and with around 25kms to go the breakaway was caught and .z_a and .davel was in the main split but they ran out of legs after all the chasing.

4 stage wins + 1st and 2nd overall and a huge win for the team.

And that is a wrap of 2022 and a very successful tour for the team. The team rode like absolute legends for the entire 4 days.

We took the lead of the race on day 1 from a early breakaway with and we never relinquished control of the race again after won the individual TT & 2nd on TT increasing the lead to 3rd place. On day 3 the queens stage 160kms finishing on top of du Toitskloof pass posed possible problems for the team but the team was fully focused on defending the yellow jersey. Neil took the lead from Josh by winning the stage and repaying the team for all the hard work on the day.

On day 4 we only had 1 plan and that was to defend the yellow jersey and we patrolled the front of the race the entire day. and tried numerous attacks to get away but unfortunately for them the team wasn’t letting any riders go up the road and on the final climb of the day Neil just had to cover any threats and close to the top he managed to take stage win number 4 for the team and his 3rd stage win. Josh managed to finish 3rd on the stage and hang onto 2nd place overall concluding a very successful tour for the team.
