SOX - Southern Cross Trail Run Pure Trail running at its best in the Garden Route paradise of Wilderness. Most diverse Run in SA. Lets get it on! (Words: Jeff Ayliffe).

Separating Oudtshoorn from the ocean lies the rugged Outeniqua mountain range. One also finds the beautiful, lush Knysna forest vegetation, and then at the coast, a ruggedly spectacular series of single-tracks that move from the crashing surf line to the banks of the coastal rivers. Put a trail run that takes the athletes into the mountains on day 1, through the pristine forests on day 2, and then down to the Wilderness coastline on day 3, and you have the Southern Cross Trail Run. Date: 6 to 9 Aug (long weekend)

It was an absolute honour to host the SOX 3 Day Trail Run in partnership with George Tourism and George Municipality!

Over three incredible days, runners experienced some of the very best trails the Garden Route has to offer β€” from majestic mountain and forest trails to the spectacular coastal landscapes of Wilderness.

A huge thank you to George Tourism and George Municipality for partnering with us and helping us showcase our beautiful region through adventure, sport and tourism.

What a fantastic three days it has been! The worst of the rain held off until the afternoon, blessing our runners with near-perfect running conditions as they tackled the trails of the Garden Route.

A huge congratulations to every athlete who took on the challenge, and thank you to everyone who helped make this epic three-day stage race such a success.

We hope to see you all again next year β€” along with your families and friends β€” for another unforgettable SOX adventure in the heart of the Garden Route!
