UNPOPULAR OPINION, but it’s my opinion!!

There was a time when a title belt represented years of sacrifice, discipline, and consistency. It wasn’t simply awarded—it was earned.

Lately, it feels like title belts in boxing and kickboxing are being handed out like candy. Whatever happened to climbing the rankings, proving yourself against the best, and earning the opportunity to fight for a legitimate professional title?

A championship belt should be the reward for those who have put in the work, faced the toughest opponents, and earned their place at the top—not something that loses its value through overproduction or convenience.

This isn’t about taking anything away from any athlete. Every fighter deserves respect for stepping into the ring. But the integrity of our sport depends on preserving what a championship truly means.

Let’s bring back the prestige. Let’s bring back the journey. Because when a belt is earned through grit, perseverance, and the rankings, it tells a story that no shortcut ever can.

Respect the process. Respect the rankings. Respect the belt.
